Already done by condor. They may be a little more white then real ACU, but they do the job fairly well. Maybe I'll snap a comparison photo of the condor next to my pointblank one someday. Plus, you can get the real carriers for cheap on ebay these days.

I've only ever seen Med covers going for 200+ on e-bay.

All you have to do is look. And key words like interceptor or otv wont work, you need to use something less specific like acu vest. Theres no shortage of both real and replica otv's out there.

I've found that the Condor platecarrier, same model shown below, has soft inserts, to help maintain the rigidity of that plate carrier, is also compatiable with the CIRAS.

These soft inserts, look very much like any soft Kelvar, lacking the ballistic protection obviously, but you can tuck or cut the edges off to your liking. As for SAPI plates, I seen replicas out on a couple of HK retailers.
