I mount my camera on my helmet using velcro. I modified the flat surface mount provided in the kit with velcro. VoilĂ*. When you wear the camera on the side of the helmet, it's close enought to not get ripped off by the branches. Attaching it on top of your helmet is more problematic. I tried it once and I will never do it again. The angle of view is less usable too.

I tested it last weekend, and I succeed to film 1:30 with a single battery. I was not continuously shooting. Around 20 minutes per shot. For a total of 5,5 gig in 1080p.

EDIT : Quality is pretty good, but when I upload it on youtube, I lose alot of range in the dark.

In your post process, you can tweek it to keep your details.
You also need to tweek the camera settings so the footages are well exposed.

Just stumbled on that looking for *see above*, thought I'd share:

One of the guy was very very lucky for not being shot by his buddy filming O_o... (and he don't get in cover much...!)

Hey, made an order by phone, like suggested, on the 16th (2 days ago)
They said the items would ship the next day, but I didn't get any email confirmation or anything.

I wrote them an email yesterday asking for a status update (I have the order # they gave me by phone), but no answer yet.

How did your order go? Did you have a similar experience with them or?

that's for the GPS version. it's not compatible with the contour HD

This is where I got mine:

If you order more stuff, you can make the "Customs Clearance" option viable. I did it for a larger order with a bunch of stuff and it worked out to about $20 on top of it all. No duties. No brokerage. It's all done. My order was shipped Purolator for $8ish 2 days from when the warehouse had it ready for pickup.

To those who wants to order from ops-core:

My phone order was never processed, and they never replied to my emails
I just tried ordering online again, and the system now works, so order away!

Have anyone tried one of these keychain cameras?
Seems like a super cheap alternative and super small and light. $13.
People use it on their RC cars, planes, and helicopters.

3Megapixel CMOS
with a 250mAh battery, I doubt it would be of any uses in airsoft

It's already hard to see people in the woods and stuff filmed in HD with good cam, I don't see this being good at all.

I've always found these gadgets gimmicks at most. Until I see a good video filmed with this kind of thing, I won't think otherwise. I bet there'll be more noise than actual useful pixel in the end result.

Edit: And I mean, are you really comparing a 13$ gadget to a respected/considered high-quality Hd camera that cost 10 times its price? Really? O_o

I got one of these badboys. They are awesome. The guy at best buy told me they dropped the price because they hadn't sold many at all here in Kingston.
