It looks good, although as others have said I would probably remove the bungee. Maybe replace it with the War bungee if that's what you were going for.

The Manta is fine, could be turned around, but fine. Everything looks good aside from that actual bungee cord. I lol'd way too hard at that.

dude that light is crazy far off the side of your head, your best bet would be to throw a rail segment in front of the comms stuff so that its a little more flush with the helmet.

Otherwise it may get caught up on somthing

He's probably going to haul his luggage on top of his head.

hello, just have a few helmet questions i was hoping i could get some awnsers for.

Ive aquired some krylon to paint my MICH but its the middle of winter....so that means i can only paint outdoors in -15 to +2 temperatures. Just wondering if anyone has any solutions.

Also, is it safe to dust velcro with krylon withou it loosing its ability to stick?

thanks, SS

I dusted my velcro and haven't had any problems with patches sticking. I have a well ventilated and heated workshop in my basement so I wouldn't know about your situation, but if you don't have access to a heated area for the painting and curing during the winter I would hold off.

my idea is that i can spray outside, and then bring the helmet inside. Monday is supposed to be in the positives so there shouldn't be a problem if i get the helmet inside quickly.

yeah. Canadian problems.

Not planning to do anything with the Velcro on the top, just had it lying around and it looked good there. could also be used to mount a strobe or IR patch.

And yes that is paracord (actually its a drawstring from an old CF combat jacket) i made into a helmet band. never seen it done before and i find it unique i guess. Standard helmet bands don't suit me.

Also i may eventually get a replica NVG mount (either a nortos 3 hole or the standard US military one)
