I'm BB bastard exclusive (will use madbulls when I can't get any bastards however). Biggest and only reason i won't use metal techs is the higher shipping cost (since it has to cross the country to get to me) and longer waiting period for shipping.

This should be revised/edited, due to the new prices of velocityarms... now at www.torontoairsoft.com.
2500 .20 - $9.95 2000 .25 - $9.95 Half of what it was before! |

Prices are still higher than what they are in the U.S. I know many teams that buy their BB supplies strictly from the U.S.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2768 I usually go with TSDs and I have bought from anywhere from $12-$16 a 5000 count bag from various US stores. In Canada it'll cost you about $10 more (plus $10 shipping) for the same thing so in effect, it'll end up to be $20 more expensive and that difference is almost an extra bag. To be fair, if I was actually living in Edmonton I'd probably just pop over to Capital Airsoft and pick up a few bags in person as the savings on shipping makes up for the cost difference to me. $25 for pickup is excellent value!

Bastards are also $10 for 2000 count in .20 and .25
I don't think many people use .20 BB's outdoors... infact, most people are using .28's |

I see a lot of new players in this thread, or, at least a lot who are new to ASC.
BB prices are remarkably consistent accross the board. You have to keep in mind there are qualitative differences between brands. Wholesalers can make choices when sourcing their BB products and one of those choices has to do with how the BB is made and the end result. You can buy bulk ricebag product and its lower priced than higher quality BBs - the differences are subtle, such as polish, seams, material binders, the BB material itself and the manufacturing process (extruded versus formed) and the end result is there is no free lunch. If you're paying less, I am pretty sure, you're getting less quality. Perhaps that doesn't matter to you depending on your AEG and whatnot, but if you do, make sure you try a few different suppliers so you learn the differences and make an informed decision. Caveat Emptor. |

Woulda Thought this was self explanitory...
Ive tried Metal techs, they work great on TM stock inners, Ive had some issues with my Tightbores. Ive tried Madbulls (because at the time they sold .25's at the same price as their .2's and they were cheaper than Bastards. I used them for a while, but then started getting issues (entire bags would jam INSIDE double stack AEG Magazines). I found this odd suspecting that perhaps my magazine needed cleaning but after stripping it down and completely cleaning and reoiling with no success and trying it in over 12 other mags (M4, MP5 etc). I found that with Madbull, when one in a batch was bad, the ENTIRE batch was bad. There were times i had to trade my madbulls to people with single stack mags (which they worked fine in). Nowadays, .25's are the same price as .2's with Bastards. I havent had any BB releated feeding issues with any of them so far.
