I should really cut my losses and stop now....
My "final" setup is: - 2.74mm spacer threaded onto the rod...pushing the floating valve up further ahead.... -- it was fairly reliable at shooting just below 350fps w/0.20g BBs, but the first couple of shots from a fresh gassing were over. - I cut the stock barrel back to CQBR length (it extends about 3-5mm past the threading of the outer barrel with the M4A1 extension removed - Freshly gassed the first shots come out at 340fps...the rest hover in the mid 330 range...last couple are 300-310-ish. I'll have to do some more careful testing. - With a Madbull Firepig "amplifier" on it....it'll leave a ringing in your ear when shooting in a small workshop....fracken LOUD! -- best to space the Firepig out if you have a bayonet lug...an o-ring and a nice flashhider collar work perfectly. NOTE: Whoever decided to start the outer barrel section/threading at 10" instead of 10.5" should be shot...or at least teabagged while he sleeps.... I need a bigger lathe..... (or at least one with a bigger diameter through spindle). |

Thats why you go AGM. Their mags take propane out of the box. Some have o-ring problem, its a $2 fix.

Any reason why you didnt get the RA TECH piece that allows you to adjust the fps? Im looking at getting an agm from them that they put a metal hop up in and with the fps piece.
And as far as o-rings go, do you think you can use the ones from your local hardware store or do you have to get something like the g&p set? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/gandp-mag...a1-series.html

Because I'm cheap and like to fiddle with stuff...LOL. Typically in the end, it ends up being a very expensive and labour intensive way to go about things
The WE SCAR NPAS system seems like it would work...although I'm not sure how well it'll hold it setting with sustained usage. Until I see and get a chance to compare the SCAR nozzle and the M4A1 nozzle...I don't want to shell out for something that might not fit. Tys |

RA Tech specifically makes a NPAS system for the m4. http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?prodID=27475
Unless I'm mistaken.

Thanks, but that's the one for the Inokatsu M4...not the WE AWSS.

Mags are the weakest link in the WA system(and doesn't sound so great in WE neither)...they seriously need better mags for these.... |

So WE vs G&P, which one you guys still prefer?

So far, the GBBR's appear to be
finicky money guzzlers that have yet to settle on one "perfected" all metal internal design. I thought WA pistols were expensive uhg... I'm interested in one of course but not with all the threads around discussing the problems arising from combining all the different brands. Hopefully the after market guys will produce reliable complete drop in kits, under the cost of a PTW. Awaiting a thread discussing the best build of what's available for a reasonable AEG cost.

Take a AGM or Ino or G&P, fit ra-tech NPAS bolt carrier + triguer set. Voila done.

I've seen/handled/shot the Inokatsu but not the ins-outs of it. I've never handled the AGM nor the G&P. What are the most significant parts/points of the AGM/Ino/G&P that would make you choose it over the WE? Thanks, Tys |

Ill know more when I have done more field testing... but so far... the only issue I have had is with a couple of minor leaks in mags.. Oh and the front sling swivel fell off.... I run single point so it just saved me taking it off.

Thanks Bri
I heard a lot of people are generally happy with the WE v3 GBBR. But since they're a brand I hate for their previous offerings, it's going to take some serious convincing— field time, determining the quality of their metal/system design before I jump on a $500(US)+ toy. I guess you can say my main concern is durability over everything else. I don't want to pay a premium and then have to waste time and lots of cash on parts that shouldn't break quickly. Mind you, I would buy expensive CNC'd alu/steel stuff if it's proven or guaranteed. Imagine that concept in airsoft, guaranteed... lol. I'll have a VFC AK with a drop in GBB GHK system soon. I'm sure it'll croak quickly, so I'll be interested in a nice replacement kit.
