You need to make a video of it when you do the home operation with a lot of isopropyl alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
Then you send the video to Metacafe or Break.com and make $400.

I doubt it's a bb. First, when you got shot, you would have noticed it in there. It is more than likely scar tissue. I wouldn't worry about it causing nerve damage because it is in the palm of your hand. Unless this gun was about 700-800fps, I can't see the bb penetrating to the point where you didnt see half of it sticking out. Anyway, like the rest, I'm not a doctor, you should get it checked out. Personally I would keep it in, good story to tell.

Holly shit, I just saw the X-Ray.
Dude, if I where you, I'd make my signature banner with that X-ray! That being said, have it removed in a clinic. It will take a few minutes and you won't have to deal with possible hemoragie, infection, bad scaring, possible nerve damage and pain. I did minor surgery on myself on several occasion, but never on my hands, because if it goes bad, having a non functionnal hand sux!

Is there some sort of moral/lesson from this thread?

No... only morbid entertainement.
Airsoft are already notoriously prone to embed their projectile in people skin on some occasions.
