Well yea there is a place a couple cities down from me that do allow underaged, but the catch is you need to be ok'd like the guys have to know you so I need some gear and I gotta go and get friendly with them. Thats why I was wondering if they had that gun in stock anywhere in Canada seeing as how the Border Troopers arn't going to let my gun through. Although could I get them to disassemble the gun and just order a part that is taken from somewhere in Canada?

I don't know how they operate but just show up a few times, if you're skilled with a camera see if you can be a "combat photographer" a few times and when they get to know you better they might let you play a few rounds or borrow/rent stuff a few times. As for purchasing I can't tell you (even if you were 18) since that's restricted to the "AV only" section of the board. All I'll say is that the stuff that Canadian Tire sells will definitely not be up to snuff. Also, if your dad is going to be a "proxy" to buy guns then he'll be refused AV. The only way is to borrow, rent, or get it through other means outside of this site as we can't control what happens offsite. NB: Don't disassemble the gun and cross the border. It will be blatantly obvious that you're attempting to smuggle if it's in pieces and they'll probably lay charges on you and put you in the system (and that's not a good thing).

That would be one of the teams on the island right? SIR or NAA....
NAA I believe, when I read their site it seemed a little imposing and strict like they didn't really want any youngens around but, we all gotta start somewhere right? ^^ I don't know how they operate but just show up a few times, if you're skilled with a camera see if you can be a "combat photographer" a few times and when they get to know you better they might let you play a few rounds or borrow/rent stuff a few times. Sounds like a good idea! Yea I was mainly going to have to go the low road as an exile and find some stuff outside of the site, but essentially my dad would be a Proxy, but I have no intentions of mis-using any of the items I acquire through him being A) I'm paying for them myself and B) I'd hate to ruin such a beautiful sport for so many passionate players, Myself hopefully to become one of them! NB: Don't disassemble the gun and cross the border. It will be blatantly obvious that you're attempting to smuggle if it's in pieces and they'll probably lay charges on you and put you in the system (and that's not a good thing And by disassemble I mean EHobbyAsia does do disassembling of guns before they ship them I don't mean I'm going to go and get it and come across ^^ That'd be suicide. "Oh uhm yea these pieces of this gun all sitting in the box with all the screws sitting in their respective holes still are just uhm... Spare parts yea... ^^ (By still in the box I do mean that I wouldn't dare move them or anything as I wouldn't know where they'd go afterwards But arn't only specific pieces of the Airsoft guns illegal, like the lower recievers of most guns and a couple upper bodies or w/e? I'm just trying to find all my options and weigh them out as to which will be my best choice, I think I'll probably have to settle for some standard M4 or something from one of the local areas :/ boy do I want that http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magpul-ma...ark-earth.html It's just so sexy :s

I should probably have been more clear NAA is Northern Arms Airsoft, SIR is South Island Rangers the only two active teams I know of on the Island. I don't know their policies since I'm not a member and I don't play with them (obviously).
Anyways.... Yes the lower is the part that's usually prohib. As for ehobby.... My personal opinion on them isn't very high. Also note that the retailer outside the country isn't the one on the hook, you the person receiving the package are since you're the only one that they can really nail. Like I said as much as I would like to help you since you seem like a good kid and your parent may be responsible and not pass the buck when shit goes down, my hands are tied by the sites rules. All I can say is don't do it from out of country, it's usually a losing game. Also note that there is a difference between just being a proxy and actually being an active player who teaches their child about gun safety and all that. It makes a good impression if your parent is actually involved and doesn't just dump you at the field and goes shopping or whatever.

The Magpul Masada is available in Canada as I've held one at a game. However, the only way you can get one is if you get age verified and gain access to the AV retailers. For now, stick around and learn as much as you can. You'll just have to wait till you're 18. Trust me, I did, and it was worth it.

Yea it's the NAA boys I've gotten into contact with them, and am in their Facebook group! ^^ Anyways.... Yes the lower is the part that's usually prohib. As for ehobby.... My personal opinion on them isn't very high. Mmm that doesn't bode well for my Masada :s What about their tactical gear and such, I think I'll make a post outlining my list of crap so people can nit-pick it Also note that the retailer outside the country isn't the one on the hook, you the person receiving the package are since you're the only one that they can really nail. And yea pretty much once the shippers have recieved their money it's on your head :/ Like I said as much as I would like to help you since you seem like a good kid and your parent may be responsible and not pass the buck when shit goes down, my hands are tied by the sites rules. All I can say is don't do it from out of country, it's usually a losing game. It makes a good impression if your parent is actually involved and doesn't just dump you at the field and goes shopping or whatever. Thanks I was hoping to give out that impression! But my dad was a pretty big gun guy, was a great marksmen or so he boasts. But no he is a very active player in my life too active if you ask me ^^ But from his perspective and any other parents out there it probably is just right Don't get me wrong I love the old fart but you gotta cut the chord eventually :P Also my dad would probably love to sit around and watch me get annihilated at my first few games and would probably try and make it or even play in some of them, only thing is he is getting pretty old :/ and his knees arn't the same anymore T.T.

Dude I discovered airsoft when I was 11, back when you couldn't just go out and buy it easily. You can wait too.

It's the waiting that kills me I guess I'll just research as much as I can familerize myself with the sport and the players and try to get down to as many games as possible to watch as much live action and listen in to as much as I can. Possibly try out film and what not ^^ Thanks you guys you have helped me in these 'difficult' times

Why are we talking about this Cansoft crap any more? guns are being brought in legally. Bringing is crappy versions just brings people into the sport who can't afford it, and don't have the commitment.
Sorry but spending money on decent gear to get yourself properly into the sport is what makes it enjoyable. having a bunch of new guys show up in hoodies with clear guns ruins it. for me anyway

A G36 would be a better comparison because the limited amount of exterior upgrades compared to an AR.
What the AR has much more exterior stuff the to create your personal looking AR |

i don't see a cansoft version of the ACR working out too well.. considering that the controlled part (where the serial number is) is the upper receiver.. and a clear plastic upper when it should be aluminum is just bleh.
