I believe the graphite is there for some form of supposed lubrication purpose,
as I have seen graphite used to lubricate the inside of a lock, Im assuming its graphite covered BB's are supposed to somewhat lube up the inside of a barrel when firing, however with that theres also a build of of the graphite as well and once it al gunks up, thats no good.

If you're getting a 6.01 barrel.. Make damn well sure it's from a company that can make one that's perfectly straight... With 6.01 if you have a slight imperfection in the straightness of the barrel things will jam.. |

I think my problem is that it's not a good brand of barrel... I should be switching it for a nice bastard of a barrel quite shortly.. |

Coincidence that the big BB brand known for heavy weight graphite coated BBs (Digicon) also has a nice line of target pistols? Yeah, there is a reason there's graphite on them.

Ah so there are specific kinds of designs that those graphite coated BBs are to be used in. Now it all makes perfect sense.
