Best to wash the graphite off using cola for 20mins, then in a wool sock in numerous cycles of the washing machine with other clothes, rubbing the sock between washes, test random BBs on light coloured cloth by rubbing to see if any grey marks remain;
So why do some sniper BB's have graphite? Seems kinda stupid if it just fucks up your gun?

I believe the graphite is there for some form of supposed lubrication purpose,
as I have seen graphite used to lubricate the inside of a lock, Im assuming its graphite covered BB's are supposed to somewhat lube up the inside of a barrel when firing, however with that theres also a build of of the graphite as well and once it al gunks up, thats no good.

I've argued with stubborn people about this myth, and if yo usearched the entire ASC forum for "tightbore jamming" you'll find a half dozen or so threads that have that in it, and largely it's people asking about a tightbore that won't jam, or people saying they have a tightbore and it hasn't jammed. Aka: Tightbores don't jam when maintained by minimum maintainance standards. If it's not maintained at all................

BTW, 99% of jams are because the hop up rubber not being maintained, it's not because of the tightbore (unless it's sand, bad maintainance regime, or shitty ammo like Walmart 0.12g BBs. Ok, we've found some BB Bastard BBs that look like brains, but if you check your ammo after you buy it for defects........)

Nutshell, tightbores don't jam. BBs and shit in tightbores jams.
I've had my 6.02 tight bore jam on Metaltechs, Flying colors and once on KSC perfects...

If you're getting a 6.01 barrel.. Make damn well sure it's from a company that can make one that's perfectly straight... With 6.01 if you have a slight imperfection in the straightness of the barrel things will jam..

I clean it after every game!

I think my problem is that it's not a good brand of barrel... I should be switching it for a nice bastard of a barrel quite shortly..

They're for target guns that have no hopup. So yeah, the graphite lubes the barrel, and since there's no rubber there, there's nothing for the graphite to stick to and foul.

Coincidence that the big BB brand known for heavy weight graphite coated BBs (Digicon) also has a nice line of target pistols? Yeah, there is a reason there's graphite on them.

Ah so there are specific kinds of designs that those graphite coated BBs are to be used in. Now it all makes perfect sense.
