The TWS one I posted is supposed to work with their own recoil spring seat thing that locks down the rear of the dustcover....

Anyone that tried to accuratly double tap and ak on a target at 50 yards can tell you that the sights on the stock ak are a load of crap. That recoil manadgement is done only by the shooter and keeping the damn thing on target is a handsfull. Like it or not the ak as evolved and this evolution takes the wood away and adds the rail system and the electronic sights. The ak might be rugged and reliable but it is neither accurate past 100 meters without dedication or controlable.

Hey the 60's called they want their AK back.

wake up people .. wood is 3rd world..

The AK has been hauled kicking and screaming into the first world, where we have things like electronic sights, Weapon accessories.

If you had ever fired an AK you would know that it sorely needed an update.

For it's time.. it was revolutionary, really the 2nd assault rifle on the planet ( StG44 being the first, and the AK really a riff on this gun)
but 64 years later.. we actually can do better while maintaining the robust a reliable elements of this firearm.

I tend to agree about the need for the AK to stop being 3rd world , however something must be said about a nice basic platform that can take shit and abuse and keep going , And yes firing an ak something left to be desired.

An AK was created to fire round down the range and thats it. Should it have more it is adding non-necessary thing to it (exept from the sight that is meant to be added to it). I only wish people stoped taking those damn ''Americain'' idea (M4 looking) and started to get their own one like either design a new one or get more people in your squad to fire at the same place so you get more round down the range haha.

I wish the AK only had the improvement needed (accuraty and shoulder feeling) the basic anyway. but not some freaking damn rail ... that make it horrible.

Want an AK get used to Iron sight (the very basic of every weapon in the world)

QFT.

Wood AK makes as much sense as keeping the old plastic handguard on ARs.

It'll do if you can't afford anything better but it's far from optimal.
