Deans do make a difference! After reading this thread I decided to finally swap them.
I changed them so far on 4 of my guns and you can instantly tell the rate of fire went up.
Soldering these little buggers is a pain though, but once done they are worth it.

Yeah the first one or two are a real pain, but after those first ones, it's all right, you get the hang of it.

It averages out to two weeks for me. When i'm lucky, 1. I've had stuff in transit for more than 4.

Yeah expect at least 2 weeks. Sometimes they take a week before even shipping their stock, while some other times, they take 1 day. Really depends. But you should expect at least 2 weeks. Less if you are lucky.

Dealextreme is probably the best HK gadget retailer, put them in your favorites.

hello guys, i finally got my deans connector today and it has roughly been around 2 weeks! Anyways, today i was trying to fit a male into a female connector and it was nice and snug. However, when i take it off, it was more difficult as i had to use my fingernail to pry them both apart. How do you guys take yours apart? Mine doesnt have the grip on the side.

When the wires are on it they're easy to take apart.

male on the motor side, female on the battery side. so the ??? should be male. Just do the exact same as what the Tamiyas are.

and you can buy Genuine Deans Ultra plugs from your local hobby store for about $4~$5 each pair of male/female. No reason to buy them online and wait for them to ship it.
