Personally around here, you have Most of spring, all of summer, and some of the fall if you're lucky to be able to use our GBB's. Our gas pistols fire one maybe two rounds and thats it otherwise!
But the more I look at the RS SVD the more Im loving it! Wood and Steel! Cant go wrong with that! If I only knew a price.... |

Maybe I don't really follow you, but I don't see how grasping the rear sling swivel (as in, grasping the sling at the rear sling swivel point) would hurt when firing? Your shoulder takes up the recoil and your hand (relative to the rifle) doesn't wind up moving a whole lot.
