I think a few of you are getting the following mixed up:

Operator
Contractor
Merc
Super JTF2 Mall Ninja

It shouldn't, it's been used in the wrong way by the media.

One of the biggest Merc contracts ........ Swiss Guard for the Vatican.

Two of the largest employers of contractors ....... Red Cross and World Vision.

Operators can be found at the tip of the spear in the worlds elite military forces.

Ones that follow no rules and can kill people left right and center with a vast aray of weaponry are the Super Secret JTF2 Mall Ninjas as described in a few earlier posts

Good point, i just want to clarify i support the use of contracted Military applications, as long as laws and rules are integrated. I believe there is alot of potential in both financial and political aspects in there use. I just dont like the word Merc. Even , mercenary. Sounds like a 16 year old kid trying to be 1337 hi speed delta

My daily job is around two Operators. I make sure they have people to kill and money to gain from and that is all around the world.

Of course, they don't wear the standard Operator stuff: tan pants and black tshirts but then again, they are the world's top Operators. They go by the name of Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem. Some of you has heard of them already, if you did not, here's a picture of the two buddies for which I design levels:

If you're looking for more info on the game I work on:

I personally dress up as a private contractor as well but in multicam with and od vest.

There's a lot of fucking misinformation in here, and like Darren, I find it rather insulting. I'm sure you all know that some of the more potent contract security outfits hire out of SOCOM, right? Only the small time outfits hire asshats, and not too many of them partake in raider ethics.

All soldiers are paid. Why should it matter who's paying them?

With classic lines like this, I'm sure he'll be a big hit! Boom ratt ratt cuff!

At my work, operator is the guy this always out smoking, and occasionally shuts the line down because we never have the right parts to get the line running properly.
