If you go the safety glasses route, don't be afraid to splurge. Keep in mind splurging is still exponentially cheaper than splurging on PB glasses. I spent 20 on mine, and if it can take 100 mph exploding grind wheel, im quite happy with it. But yes some fields are picky. Out here where we play, your eyes are your responsibility.

If you can just get some safety glasses, comfortable, no fogging problems whatsoever and very easy to use a gun with (for sighting, etc...). However, if you play at a place where they require sealed eyewear I would recommend the Bolle T800's. Definitely don't touch Wiley-X they're crap. Can't think of anything else.

I had nothing but fog problems with mine. From what I hear a large majority of people would agree with me. That said, I have heard of some people who have had more luck with theirs. I can clarify and say if you *ever* have problems with fog then Wiley-X's will be crap for you as you'll never be able to see.

If you're playing a private game where you don't require paintball compatible goggles, I believe metal mesh is unbeatable. It never fogs (this is paramount), barely restricts vision, there is no glare, and they're strong enough.
I made a few pairs for myself out of regular wrap around sunglasses frames, and tested them point blank with multiple shots of 425 fps. I value my eyes and I can say I trust these glasses completely.
