no HK79's yet but CAW made a HK69 so i'm sure a 79 is not far off. and i was thinking of doing the same thing with a HK33 as you.

Very nice. It looks pretty deadly just with that sling and DIY mag pull.

I still need to get a mount base for it, my low mount didn't fit for shit.

So anybody got suggestions of a mount that'll be deep enough for the HK33? I'm thinking something like a high mount...

So I've decided to do a nasty little rail mod to my HK33K to let it mount a light on the foregrip. I'm taking a short rail off my old G36C foregrip and drilling some small holes to screw into.

Fingers crossed that it'll look good, gonna try it static before I go anything irreversible. :P

*edit* Did it, love it...doesn't take away from the image really, really just adds to the whole 'SF' of the whole rifle.

And should I remove the rail, the holes are neatly drilled and clean

Well, I've got my Aimpoint mounted, I've got my M3 mounted...and I think that the only thing left to do is stock up on mags and some internal tweaks (shimming).
Here she is, I named her Bertha.

The only thing that would make it better is if the KA M3 had trades on it...but I'm going to try and remedy that at work.

I haven't had any problems with it yet. There's no wiggle at all.
All I did was mark the holes with a pencil, and then hand drill a pilot hole through. Then I took about three goes at enlarging the holes, bit by bit, till the screws bit firmly and twisted through.
