No no didn't mean any disrepect, I've been able to order before without any questions asked. That's why find this quite surprising.

Just because I'm underage doesn't mean I'm a thick-skulled shit-head.

This is new; As of 2007; I'm not sure if it's implemented 100% yet... But I know there was a huge announcement about it on the MAA boards.

And -- Sorry for mis-reading; It's quite tough to judge tone by text.

You're going to have to sign up then gain access to the forums through talking to the admins.. so I'll just copy and paste it.

Having trouble finding it -- It'll be a second.

Dude, I'm not a member and I've been buying guns lately. Now, I'm all for trying to keep things safe and keep airsoft any from undesirables but I like the service I've had from Mark. I also know it's not my call but closing alot of us out from one of our only retailers would be a real shame. I try to give my business equally to the Armoury and A&A cause they've both been good to me. It would be nice if us verified member could still purchase form A&A.

I can't find the information...

I believe this is only on a provincial basis...

Hrm; Looks like I misread something. Oh well - Disregard that.

Well those who have talk to this "Mark" guy should suggest to him to become a ASC member so we can all ask question and possibly even get him varified.

Hell cheap gun, hopefully not to cheap, just swap out the mech box with a good one and good to go ?

meh. after poking around, Im not impressed with the markup. It is substantially larger then that of other retailers on quality guns.
Consider this. Many retailers deal directly with the manufacturer, so they get guns at even cheaper prices, but for this comparison, Im going to use WGC as a baseline comparison as it reflects as close to factory prices as possible.

I had recently emailed buysairosft.ca to get a price on their new JG G36C as it has been recently added on WGC and can give a good comparison.
The price they mentioned was aprox $275 Canadian dollars. Thats $236 USD
WGC(and other retailers) retails the same product at $80 USD.
Ok, thats normal, since we always end up paying more in Canada for various reasons.

But lets compare ASCA's TM SR16. Retails for $550 Canadian Dollars or $472 USD. WGC retails the same product at $269 USD.

With ASCA on the TM, we pay aprox 1.75 times more then it sells for.
With buyairsoft.ca on the JG, we pay aprox 2.95 times more then it sells for.

If ASCA had the same increase as buyairsoft.ca, the SR16 would cost $794 USD or $924 Canadian Dollars.

So, on a China airsoft gun...also known as crapsoft to many members, you are going to pay a LARGER increase for a lower quality gun(295% compared to 175%).

Theoretically, if dealing with ASCA's increase of 1.75x, the same JG G36c that buyairsoft.ca sells for $275CND would only cost you $163CDN.

Keep in mind, that ASCA deals with asian importers, and buyairsoft.ca deals with American importers, however, the price difference between the two is very small.

I was actually considering ordering one of the JG G36c as a loaner since they have been rumored to to excellent clones of the TM with CA internals and shooting just under 400fps...However, since it is a china gun, I cant justify paying a much higher markup then I would with our current retailers on a quality proven manufacturer.

now Im not trying to put down buyairsoft.ca, as I was very pleased with the email response I received from them, but Im always looking to see who is offering the truly best prices to airsofters. I can actually see buyairsoft.ca doing quite well since the quality of chinasoft is getting better as time goes on, and if they can make their markup closer to that of other retailers.

Yeah believe me the mark-ups are insane for them. But than no one here right now is dealing with China guns. Raygis was considering of dealing with Fung from GunnerAirsoft.com the prices there were excellent, but these HK retailers have either bad customer service or just don't give a crap about us Canadians. WGC and RedWolf have some China guns but not a wide enough selection =/

WGC recently added a number of china manufacturers to their stock...and that means ASCA can pick it up no problem.
