Back from the dead!
So, I've got one of these beauties now. I just got it recently, and the model has been out for something closer to a year now... D'you still figure the mechbox will need shimming? I've fired a couple of hundred shots out of the mechbox with the motor (and many with the spring as well), and I have had no problems so far. However, I'd like to make sure I WON'T have problems. Also, any tips for shimming? I've never done it before, and I keep getting told to get someone to do it, but that's crap, there's nothing about shimming I can't learn to do myself, but I need somewhere to learn... By the by, this gun is beautiful. Period. And he's right, it pukes ammo. |

if memory serves me right, it just requires one of the smallest shims in the package
I think there is an article somewhere on arnies that covers shimming thankfully, the hk33 mechbox design is one of the easiest to shim its always better to check if the gears mesh nicely rather than letting the thing eat itself over time, imho |

Cheers, Shinjin
Man, I just got myself a nice 1300 mAH stick battery made up, and on a fresh charge, I swear this gun is as fast as the FaMAS. I think I'll take it apart next week and take a look at those gears. Thanks for the tips. |
