Nice. Good luck.
Side note: If you want to keep the life time of the slide lock longer, DON'T just release it when locked empty, PULL SLIDE BACK instead and let the slide stop dropping itself rather than pushing the slide stop down making worn more. Try it. It helps!

Yes, apply thin layer of glue on this side ONLY.

No, you don't need any glue here, it may create friction and no good for smooth sliding, clean it up.

How to increase thickness on the wall of slide
This mod could enforced the wall of the slide stronger to fix the slide stop and minimize the chance for the slide off track and trigger pull not engaged after 500 rounds-cycle-slide-stop. The point of the screw driver shows the space(thickness increased) that created by after applying blue glue. The space between slide and metal piece should allow a tip of a blade fit in, that's the space added for increase the thickness of the wall. Other angle viewing.... Important: once you applied blue glue (gasket maker, after harden and still soft and flexible) and put back the metal piece to slide, screw it tie, give a bit pressure on the metal piece to keep close to slide, then insert the tip of the blade to ensure you have the thinner space has already created. Now YOU HAVE TO WAIT 24HOURS TO LET IT HARDEN DRY BEFORE TESTING IT. When first insert the slide back to mid frame, it should be a bit tie fit and smooth movement, gently pull the middle of the slide and it should hold tide in place and not slide off track. That's the way testing it for best fit after mod. Hope this instruction helps!
