Being front heavy is not as bad as many other things.
Definitely. But the way i see it is balanced and heavier is better than imbalanced and a bit lighter for posture/form reasons. Better to have the weight being supported by my legs than my back.

BTW, how tall are you?

Mind you I got some good muscular endurance though

Been eying the RRV as we'll because of this mainly but still not sure it's what I need;

So far I tried the following:

Cheap ACM FSBEII; clearly not a good fit
TT mav1 with TT backpack, not too bad but still a bit too large even at its smallest
Specips Hellcat MK2 rig, which is very similar to a TT Mav2, but maybe even a bit bigger

So in the end, I still don't know what would work and wouldn't

I need to carry 7-8 GBBR mags plus 3-4 long mags for pistol/SMG (Kwa Lm4 Pmags, heavy as shit, TM g18 or KWA mp7 long mags)

So I'd need to be able to distribute that weight efficiently and make sure I don't float in the rig

I rather have a lightweight rig that wouldn't hinder movements, not a big fan of plate carriers (I think)
In the same boat. I'm over 6'0 and only 130lbs. I ordered the RRV after a couple suggestions and reading. I have almost the same requirements you do. Needs to hold 8 GBBR mags, utility pouch, radio pouch, and 2-3 1911 mag pouches. I'll let you know how it goes once it comes in and I can give it a tryout session (Should be some time this week).

I don't have any 'professional grade' chest-rig/plate carrier setups. My setups so far is exclusively run of the mill condor products.

I am 5'11" and varying between 140-160 lbs, dependent on state of health.

I have been using the Condor Modular Chest Set http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn....n-cs-003-2.jpg during the hotter months .. and i cannot adjust the straps down sufficiently to keep that 'swimming' experience away.

I recently picked up the Condor Quick-release plate carrier http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...n/CIMG1161.jpg .. and i can cinch this down enough to make it a 'non-mover'. However, it is going to be a cooler weather rig, only. No way would it be acceptable in a sweat situation.
