@zollen to be honest I dont know too much about real steel weapons, and I dont really care what different military departments use. But if you already knew, then why did you post a thread asking what they would use?

We probably know some of them, but not all. A few NAVY SEAL books I've read black out the weapon names. It could be a little sensationalism because in Marcus Lutrell's book, The Lone Survivor, he states which weapon he had. But like I said, we probably know some but not all.

Think of it this way. People didn't see the first stealth fighter till the Gulf War but it had been in development since the 50's. Who knows what toys they have. They only tell us what they want and what they think their enemies should know about for intimidation purposes. Other than that we have to wait for someone to leak information.

Don't forget, the NAVY SEALs, unlike other departments of the U.S. military have a lot of autonomy within the spectrum of their combat zone in terms of what toys to bring. Darryl Young, a former NAVY SEAL writes a lot about his days in Vietnam and says how he able to choose his own weapon and how his team customized weapons to suit their mission(shortened the barrel of an M60; removed the sights; added a chopper gunner buttsock.) Darryl Young used the Stoner which at the time were very rare. Hell he said he would wear blue jeans on his ops, just to give you an idea how unconventional they are.

Well they're pretty amazing individuals both in and out of combat. A recent study in neuroscience indicates that they have more 'will-power' peptides than most of the population which would make them physiologically superior to most humans.

That's in terms of productivity though because they tend to make terrible husbands. Can't expect your girl to stay loyal when you're away 200 days a year.
