But then that beats the opjective of Conker making a Win 7 based version of the program, plus i dont think there is any computers anymore with a com port? My old laptop which is on XP still doesnt have a comp port.

Alternative to getting an AN/PRC-148 clone is to buy the PRC to XTS adapter. It will allow coonection to a Motorola XTS/Jady radio. This radios can be found on ebay for $50 to $100. They are milspec radios and the MT/MTS have 64/128 ch.

Hi guys,
as I have read some of you use a real Peltor Comtac sets with this radio. Are these connected with the original 6-pin plug? Do they work together well?
I have just bought the radio and I plan to buy a Peltor Comtac Headset. So I'm just making sure everything will work as expected :-)

My Peltor comtac IIIs are connected via the 6 pin mil plug and they work great together. I don't know how well they work with comtac IIs but definitely with comtac IIIs straight out of the box.

tried it - links are not valid anymore.

I managed to download it somewhere else - can't remember where ;-)

I can email it to anyone who would want it - it's just 6MB zip file

Edit:
I encounter a small but annoying problem: if I try to change channels with the channel knob it doesn't work quite all right. Sometimes it switches only between two adhering channels (e.g. 3 and 4) and all I can get is 3 and 4 :-(
If I want to switch to the next one I have to turn the knob two or three clicks, and it doesn't always work.

Any ideas? Do you think this is a software or hardware issue? Changing channels with keys works perfect.
