Just doubled the price dude, these are now collectibles!
Seriously, I don't have any Breakfast 08, or had any in the last long time. But If you did have one I'd gladly exchange it for you. Cheers Jeroon |

I miss those IMP breads that stayed moist and delicious for the better part of a decade.
Mmm.. all natural (but so tasty)

Bloody whiners. Clearly, you never got a crack at the original ham omelet.

I could have sworn there was something worse than a ham omlet. Maybe it was just a cold ham omlet.
Do these new contaminated ones taste better, or worse than the normal ones?

Maybe they're being recalled because someone found out they taste better.
I mean if they were really contaminated they'd just get tossed in the trash, no?

Maybe they're officer only meals that slipped into the normal chain by accident.

From my understanding, I thought MRE's have chemicals in them to purposefully lower the libedo of the soldiers eating them. From what i heard, the long term effect is sterilization. Can anyone verify this? Would be nice to see fact from fiction on this topic.

From Wiki...
Potassium nitrate was once thought to induce impotence, and is still falsely rumored to be in institutional food (such as military fare) as an anaphrodisiac; these uses would be ineffective, since potassium nitrate has no such properties.[2] Information I received suggests there was a report of metal discovered inside the meal packet. Forever ago I worked in an Industrial Bakery and the forman rounded up a few Youths to Unpackage and bin angel food and pound cake. Three of us were dutifully dumping them and tossing the packages but the one dude was running late for lunch so snuck a bite in here and there as he worked. Forman returned when the deed was done and we asked what up with that. Romeo lost his finger in the batter to pan part of the production... three of us went to lunch, snacker went home sick. |
