something like this would probably work:
http://www.hsgi.us/proddetail.asp?prod=HSG%2FMSH&cat=18 They also make a sniper waist pack too: http://www.hsgi.us/proddetail.asp?prod=HSG%2DSWP For me, if Im using a single shot sniper rifle and have my pistol for back up, the waist belt and a hydration pack under the suit would be idea... may be a shoulder holster set up as well. Nice and light. Personally, I like the idea of a Viper Hood set up... best of both worlds. |

It's a poor rig for anything but sniping IMO. It allow you to carry a handgun and have it out of the way of your primary gear for sniping and crawling, yet easy to access under a ghillie suit. It does not fit well over armor. Unless you have a PACA type body armor. But even so, it will be bulky.

Roll around in the mud, drag it in the dirt, hose it down, repeat.

Pretty much what I told him. Some guys speed the process up by tying their ghillie to a bumper and letting it drag down muddy dirt roads. Lol

Good start.
Cover those elbows too. It's hard to tell, but it look like your sides are not covered enough. If I can see your BDU patern trough it, it mean you need more garnishing.

That's actually quite a bit like mine (almost like he took my tips to the letter...hehe), I could use more on my arms, but have been too lazy to do it. I see what looks like some raffia grass in there too?
What does the front look like? Great job so far Steven! Not too many times I see a first time ghillie look that good. |

Thanks guys. Yeah, the arms i did only the back, so when laying down, its more like its on the ground. I'll try to pick up some more netting/ burlap sometime and add more!
The rafia you see is either: 1) Tan burlap peices 2) OD and tan jute The front i left plain, but i think i will add some to the front of the shoulders, and the sides, then reinforce the front with more material. Thanks guys, it means alot. Now to anger the parents more with Burlap everywhere! |

If i were you, when at your local field, id snag some grass or dead brush. By using natural vegetation, your camouflage would be increased greatly, and be less prone to be spotten.

He'll get there, he's not done yet. Has to beat it up, soak it, muddy it up good, wash it and sun dry it............ the colours will fade somewhat and it'll be a royal mess, but it'll work better. Then when he's playing he can add veg to it as needed.

My fellow team member is correct, Leg rigs are another good way to go the only down side is stuff snags on them while crawling
