Yes old news, but noone else was going to tell him that, It is the newbie forums so I assume he didnt know.
I was the only that answer his questions without asking his age, If he was 14 or 41, it wouldn't change the fact he has the gun already or what he is going to do with it, all he wants to know is his approximate fps if he put a .43g bb in his gun, so I gave him my answer along with my reasoning.
Last time I checked this is a forum full of information not inquiring of age

Actually he doesn't have the gun yet. Re-read his first post and you will see that hes going to get one.

Also I asked his age. Just simple curiosity. Theres nothing wrong with asking how old the OP is.

One thing to realise about the KJW M700 is that even when using propane and 0.36g BBs, hop up set on full, the BB will drop around 150ft away every time. Which is fine if you are good at adjusting for elevation, but point being, using 0.43g BBs will decrease your range a lot more. I'd say use 0.36g maximum.

You're 19, and yet you A) Don't know how to spell, B) Don't know why people need to know your age (FAQs, anyone?) and C) Don't have the common sense to check if playing airsoft in your friend's backyard is legal?

FYI, it's illegal.

Either you're not anywhere near 19, or your mom shouldn't have kickboxed while she was pregnant.

My internet is spazzing, would someone mind linking him the legality FAQs? Maybe Strelok's cartoons about sniping and public play?

EDIT: Oops, almost forgot to take a shot. Yum.

Just buy one bag and test it out, and a bag of good 0.30g as well. That way you can sort out what your rifle and you like best.

Isn't the FPS limitation intended to prevent injury?

This is simple physics and I guess 99% of ASC users figured this out but... the energy output on the bb is (relatively) always the same even if the bb is heavier, meaning the slower .43 BB will hurt as much as the .20 BB that goes faster if it's shot from the same airsoft.

Isn't it why FPS are measured using .20 BBs before games even though you're using other size?

In other words, if your airsoft shots too fast, it's not the bb you have to change. Correct me if I'm wrong there.

he can't even write properly. I don't expect he will understand any physics rules... lol.

The thing I was wondering though, I just want to make sure I get the principle right:

Going for a heavier BB might actually increase its power, because since it stays in the barrel, being pushed on longer.

in other words, as you increase the weight, the speed lowers, but slower than the weight increase, while the power goes up slightly.

if you increase weight by 50%, the speed will decrease by only 40%, while power will raise by 10%. THOSE NUMBERS MAY BE WAY OFF, its just an example to see if I got the principle right. I guess this will depend on the barrel length... I guess with a 1 inch barrel, this will probably almost not apply, and if you have a 12 feet barrel, this would have a MAJOR impact, right?

I don't think this will be the case, given the same setup (spring, cylinder, barrel, etc). Theoretically, with perfect air seal, the air volume coming from the cylinder into the barrel is still the same. So the heavier BB will spend time in the barrel for just as long as the lighter BB. Kinetic Energy = 1/2 mass * velocity^2. With the same energy (Joule from gun) and an increase in BB mass simply yields less velocity (FPS). Subsequently, there's the change in grouping and range as well.
