The airseal issue in my friends A&K M4-S was solved when we put the madbull hop-up in. And yet we had fitment issues with the metal receiver, seemed the 'fins' of the hop unit were too thick. We shaved the receiver down a bit and it all went in nice and easy.

I liked the whole design of the unit and it really has improved groupings on his weapon.

update: so the guarder clears solved my air leak issue but cause another one. slight oversight when I was installing the clears as they were slightly loose over a madbull TB. with the rubber not seated snugly, caused BB's to pull on the edge that contacts the nozzle which eventually cause a tear which in turn caused jams.

happened on my M4 with the ultimate hopup as well as Sunday on my MP5 with the CA new type hopup and MB TB.

I have now installed the blue MB rubber on the MP5 and will get more for the M4. will have to see if the air seal is consistent with using the clears.

Oddly, I used a stock marui rubber on my AK with the MB TB and it's shooting 100%. have shot more with that combination on the AK then the M4 and MP5 combined.

Re: Madbull Ultimate Hopup fitment problem

Edit: opened the M4 and the guarder clear was not the culprit. Stripped grip screw and the magpul grip height adjust screw backed out. Fubard the motor and mechbox enough to cause a problem. New mechbox aquire so we'll see if the guarder clear can hold up.

As a side note. The CA metal receiver has a small opening to pass wires through on the bottom of the upper. A rectangular opening that I'm assuming was for front wired mechbox. Can easily mount and hide a 9v battery in the handguard and install a micro switch. Still going to try to use the guarder grip with 3 cr123's and possibly a pressure switch on the side.

I know this is an old thread but Coach did that mean that your hop up unit with guarder clear and madbull barrel all fit together correctly?

I had my ultimate with it's rubber on a Prometheus barrel and yes I had a hard time, but with a little trimming, tab of 100% silicon oil, and patience...I works flawless....

they will fit but the guarder clears are a tad loose on the madbull inner barrels. I am currently using madbull rubbers.

i had the same problem with the MB blue rubber they provided with the hop up chamber. it got stretched to shit. even with me gobbing all over it. I bought a couple different rubbers and got a nice fit with the guarder black i believe.

I just trim it so the c-clip fits. As long as its seated fine and the bump is properly located, it's fine.
