I saw this story on A channel here in London and they stated airsoft guns and showed pictures of the weapons with clear receivers... they didn't look like Walmart or Crappy Tire shit.
So the next time a 14-year-old says "Can I play? I'm really mature for my age" I'll just point out this story. And the answer will always be NO! |

And it'd have to be semi automatic, or just easily pumped. which a lot of .177/.22 cal airguns are not capable of without slow succession. Especially when it comes to airguns available to squeaky little idiot children. That'd give the girl more than enough time to run away.
I've been shot by pellet guns before. (Some stoned rapper wannabe white kids shooting people out of their car.) and it hurts a lot. I wouldn't imagine a little girl would be able to sustain 20 hits with airguns so easily. Last edited by Strelok; October 27th, 2009 at 03:05.. |

some pellet guns are really shitty, and with a rotery clip, plus a few extra in your pocket and one pump shots you can reach a rof just a little slower than a bolt action rifle, plus it was two boys, 10 rounds each sounds right. If it was crapsoft they woulda let off more rounds as their self loading and you dont have to chamber a bb then pump

This is speculation here but pulling a gun out of a backpack would lead me to believe that it was in fact a pistol. Maybe like one of those Mac11 crapsofts that run off CO2?
Yeah.... those kids are probably not going to get any action when they hit puberty.... Which is probably punishment enough but I'd like to see the law thrown at these kids for once and not get let off with a slap on the wrist. The girl could have lost her eyesight, and probably could have been injured really badly even if they were likely .12's.

We'll never know what the kids used. Either way, they abused what they were bestowed as a priveledge and hopefully will be punished pretty harshly for being such idiots. I've been seeing a lot of kids with clearsoft in the local area lately. Even at the schools here the sidewalks and grass is littered with colorful flaking little bb's everywhere.

Hmm. Will they get charged, or will the be under the YPA?
If they get charged, I would love to the sentencing hearing and go watch them cry. Road trip? |

I actually agree with the OP on this...why on earth would the parent of the two boys buy them "clear" guns that actually shoot pellets or BB's? I can't find a majority of the fault on the boys here, obviously they are stupid for shooting guns like that, but I doubt that being the way our society is these days, have little idea of consequence or responsibility at that age.
Either way, the parents are undoubtedly responsible for buying the guns. I remember there was a thread in the Newbie Section where a parent was trying to find some information regarding airsoft for his son. THAT is proper parenting. Education and warning children of consequences. But again, another hit to the air gun/airsoft situation.
