No, theyre not that bad, but its the same reason people buy Eagle gear instead of china clones.

They wan't the real thing (or as close to it as they can get) so they don't have to worry about it breaking, and they can treat it like it was real.

No, I contradicted myself.. there is a difference.. LOL

I guess what I am saying is that I expected the mag to crush under the weight. but it did not.
Unfortunatly, it did enough damage for the mag not to work.

I got a box of the green-type 75 rounders coming in in a few days. I'll let you know how the work compared to my 120 ones

lol I was just going to say in my head as a reaction.. WHAT?

Anyways, the 120rd mags aren't really the same quality as real steel PMAGs.
Why?
Magpul PTS division of Magpul, *not Green Label/STAR* has used lower quality polymer for the shells.

I'm not sure how those guys in the videos have tested their 120rd PMAGs under those trucks... Some bullshit happening there..

Anyways Magpul PTS is in ASIA. Obviously, it's lower quality polymer.

As to a comparison of PMAGs, the 120 rounders are actually heavier and thicker than the real ones. The walls are thicker because they don't have to fit a 5.56mm case in the same width (remember the 5.56mm round is in a necked down case that is 9.60mm at the rim.) Because the PTS versions are thicker, they are actually sturdier in the walls. With the real PMAG, you can depress the sides of the magazine slightly if you press hard. You can't do that with the PTS PMAG.

The same test in the video above would have ended up similar with a real steel PMAG, possibly more so. This is because the PTS PMAG baseplate is held in with a screw, and the PMAG's baseplate is only held in with the spring tension, and the button at the base can be depressed easily when un-loaded.

If anyone would like to compare them, and you are going to an OP in the US, just ask me, and I will bring both along. I mostly use the 120 round MAGPUL PMAGS now, because I started using a revolution gearbox in my M4, and hicaps just don't work well with it.

The walls are thicker yes. Pull out the internals of the 120rd PMAG and test the walls. They are bendable.

well. I never have the actual 120 rds PMAG but I used to have the Green Label 75 rds, the quality is really acceptable since it won't hurt your pocket as much like real deal. The reason that I stop using it is not because of the quality but it won't fit smugly in my pouch both of them so I switch backto STANMAG.

Here are a few advice for the green label,

-Make sure that you cut the feed lip a bit like you will do on all King Arms mags since those chinese company look like that they do have much materials to waste on.

-Make sure that you will check all cap on the top of the mags that wrote down 75 rds, possibly clue them by exposy, otherwise it will pup out then the spring will pup out as well, it hurt in butt to find them back.

More than that, enjoy the quality of PMAG that you can get half of the price of real deal plus the ranger plate for Green Label is damn cheap. I suggest you to get the black version since that's the only one would be the correct color. CB or Green is somehow not really like 120 rds PMAG.

For the quality of PMAG, Yes, I did step on them and drop it from 10 feet. it's not even a ditch on them, just that stupid cap that I mention above pup out.

The major difference was that the original vid ran over the mags on dirt (which the mag can dig into) while you did it on pavement.

subject RE: PTS Inquiry & Air Shipment Availability

Hello,

To answer your question all authorized PTS products versions of our products are manufactured in the United states with the same materials as their non PTS counterparts.

I apologize we do not have air shipment availability for out of the country orders. We do have the order in the system and we will get it shipped out as soon as possible. We ship Fedex international.

Please forgive the delayed response- because of the incredible post-Election frenzy we’ve all been quite busy lately…

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you,
