The status on my package is still "In customs" and it will be a month soon. I got sick checking the tracking number.

Mississauga Customs probably has a bunch of new officers.

What I found works is you have the sender file a claim :P but I usually do that near the end of a months waiting period and it clears by then usually.

Do you think Paul from Ebaybanned would file a claim? And how would he go about doing that? Does he have to phone Hong Kong Post and file one with them?

All they have to do is shoot off an inquiry to Hong Kong Post.

They can either call or just fill out an online form I believe.

All it does is trace where the package is, chances are if your items aren't restricted and they are small the new officers are just lazy and probably missed your stuff that's sitting in the warehouse.

When your stuff clears though pay attention to where the location is, if it doesn't say anything chances are it was sent off somewhere for a more thorough inspection ie. if they think your part is for real steel or something they will send it there for testing then it'll clear from there.

I got 550$+ from ehobbyasia sitting in customs in Mississauga since may 31st.

Friend of mine talked to canada posts and customs about it. They said sender must file a claim thru Hong Kong post and then it will follow it's course.

Most likely will receive package in 2025 but hey...

I've had store stock site in Customs Hands for about 4 months.

Realize that ALL parcels go into a giant warehouse together and it can get to be a giant clusterf*ck and really hard to get through. Parcels upon parcels stacked everywhere. If your parcel came in with say a huge truck packed full then yours might be on the bottom of that pile.

Now if it also came from an airsoft dealer in Hong Kong then it's put into a maybe pile to be searched which take longer since parcels that are deemed not to be of notice are sent through first.

Now if they don't have enough people or allot of new people it takes them longer to go through those piles.

Also each pile is searched by a K9 unit, so if that unit smells something from the pile your parcel is in, expect to wait even longer.

The list goes on.

I've had stuff stuck in "Pending customs inspection" for just over a month from EHobby and like you, nothing prohibited or restricted. I gave them exactly 1 month before I contacted Post then CBSA and the shipper. A couple days after, it was at my door.

I ordered a CQB front end with rail and supressor. It was in the CBSA's custody for about 3 weeks before it was released, supressor and all.

I have a package stuck in limbo too. I called Canada Customs and they informed me that this message DOES NOT mean that CBSA HAS the package. It means that Canada Post will EVENTUALLY give them the package.

Apparently, CBSA has been trying for years to get Canada Post to change this message to something more clear.

Your package, and mine, has not been seized by CBSA, they haven't even SEEN it yet!

May the force be with all of us...

And that is from July 7th 2009. I'm not freaking out yet, but I just don't see why this is happening if it's not illegal. I've never had them hold anything like this before so I am getting concerned.

So does that mean that Canadapost has customs officers on site who just open boxes and then leave them to Canadapost to ship to the CBSA warehouse? I seriously hope that's not the case cause we all know how speedy Canadapost is.
