I think, the hurricane replica eotech would do the job. I'm trying to save and sell some airsoft for a real steel one, it's really worth to have one.

One thing, I just wonder is how many magazines does the Canadian Force carry when they go on the mission ? Does it has to specific ? or just carry as much as you can. Thanks.

1 - whatever sight is on the rifle
2 if you have a BUIS

You don't keep a collection of sights in your rig when you go out on a patrol.

You get 10 magazines for your C7/C8.

Wouldn't be surprised if some guys got themselves more magazines.

thought the paper issue was 4 mags. that why CF ppl kept complaining that the issue vest can only hold 4 mags from the 4 single mag pouch. I know the fact the realistically people carry alot more. ppl in the CF I know they say 8 is bare minimum, (usually they would be carry otherheavy equipment making them a support) 12 is if you are just a regular is what I know my friends carry with more clips.

Before Afghanistan the doctrine was 5 mags(4 in your webbing and 1 in the rifle) is all you need an the rest of the ammo would be clipped. And the Tac Vest was designed after that. An well we got into a real shooting war(Afghanistan) and now 10 magazines is what you get there. An like I said some people acquire more.

As to how many mags you carry in your rig, is upto you/unit SOP. Sometimes I went out with all 10 mags in my chest rig, other times I'd take out 2 mags an put them in my backpack so I could have another pouch to put water/gatorade in.

Thanks for reply Mike.

Sorry for hijack, just a few more questions. How about hand grenade ? Do you allow to carry or not ? and how many would they issue for or you can carry as much as possible also ? also M203, Does it issue to everyone or you have to acquire one in some condition ? Thanks so much..

yea they allow you to carry grenades.. frag an smoke.. they even give you a few. I'am not an Infantryman nor have I ever been in a Rifle section so I dunno exactly what they had. But when I went out I had 2 frags and 2 smoke on me. I could have grabbed more but I figured 2 of each was good to go. And if you are in a job that doesn't require you to go outside the wire(like a job in KAF) you won't get grenades.

An no not everyone gets an M203. M203 Grenadier is an assigned position, there is 2 per in a Infantry section.

C79's are extremely effective sights.

for airsoft depending on how u use it and sight it in, then u can be very very effective with is as Cheeseman is.

otherwise I would recommend a G&P Aimpoint red dot, great sight!
