Wall mart sells Brass Eagle paintball Silicon oil and its something I barely use.. I havent greased my mechbox since I put it together.
I only grease the inside of the Oring on the piston head and turn the oring a bit to get it fully around it.. then take a bit and mid way in the cylinder I push a bit of grease around that so its a full circle. I grease the ribs on the piston and thats it.. I did this all to my M14 and it ran 1.5years at 425fps... without ever openning it again.

ok so i got this grease its graphite from canadian tire. This one ok?
I just need 100% silicone, Canadian tires ones have petroleum in them so it was a no go. Any popular stores and brands you guys can recommend? aside form online, weekends coming so ill go shopping for stuff. So far its viperlube or superlube for oil? 30 wt grease from a hobby store or graphite and lithium based grease for grease. and crappy tire...(lol) for a store... crappy tire is soo hard to find, i went to canadian tire asking if they co-owned crappy tire, all i got was bad looks... The walmart i went too didn't have the brass eagle oil or any maintenance tools for airsoft and paintball. Last edited by Richand; May 29th, 2009 at 18:55.. |

Not sure if two months constitutes a necropost but I couldn't resist. I hope you weren't serious about the Crappy Tire thing lol
Use white lithium GREASE on your gears/o-rings Superlube GREASE works well on gears/o-rings as well, although it's thinner than white lithium. RC shock oil (30 weight will do) is great for lubing GBB internals, Superlube grease applied in a thin coat works well on GBB slides. |
