I used a CA AUG and JG AUG. My vote is always go for quality(CA).
I've worked on both guns and it was a breeze with that version of gearbox(unsure of which one it is now). Alround I like them, I like their look, the selector right on the trigger(although my JG conked out few times) plus the room for such a looong inner barrel.
The only things that I didn't like were that they are alittle tail heavy and mags are tough to store or even find pouches to fit them.
All in all I like it, hope you find one that works well for you.

Head shot, double kill, multi kill, rampage, killing spree, unstoppable, INSULTING!

that's right counterstrike yelling out how good your doing anyways...
from the sounds of things I'm gonna get a TM or a CA Aug, i like the Rail of the military version, simply because that gives me more options down the road, I'm more of a CQB guy myself and that's why i went with a bullpup same length of a rifle but compact space of a SMG that gave me either the Famas which don't get me wrong looks ok in my books but i've noticed everyone and their mothers has one in the states, i wanted something exotic the steyr Aug, this only brings up one question of mine knowing that the mags for the aug and M4 are different sizes, would a standard vest made for M4 mags allow Aug mags?
in short does a Aug mag fit into a M4 pocket?

A double M4 mag pouch will fit a single AUG mag.

confuzzlation

time for some math to confuse all of you MUA HAHAHA
1 double mag M4 pouch is equal to 1 Aug mag which means that a vest which can hold 12 m4 mags can hold 6 Aug mags in a double pouch
so 2=1 12=6 6=6 so six pouches= six mags

Okay so I've decided on the CA Aug it seems the better choice right now i'm looking for mags, i don't like the high cap simply because the extra BB's rattle and winding it every so often is a pain, anyways where can i find CA mags for the aug? or do Mauri mags fit?

AUG mags are all the same, doesn't matter if it's CA, TM, King Arms, DBoys, etc.

As for pouches, I use two triple-deep double M4 pouches. So 4 pouches in total that hold 3x M4 mags each, which I can fit 2x AUG mags into for a total of 8x AUG mags.

only question i must pose is, what company seems to get the job done right? (price is not much of a issue)
I read a review just a little while ago pinning the jg aug against the ca aug, with almost $100 difference the jg (cheaper) performed better than the ca and is apparently easier to take apart. There were statements that the stock mag had the potential of being a lemon, loading wheel being done out of the box. I myself am doing all the research I can on augs cause I want an aug a3 really badly. Check youtube for review and to see it in action there's quite a few vids. if you're on facebook I'm in Ontario and just started the SCAA, simcoe county airsoft association, looking for members from all over our beautiful country.

In my LBV-88 if you stack them opposite ends facing out (Ie, flared mag bottom facing down then insert the other one bottom facing up) you can barely squeeze two into a double M4 pouch, might just be my vest though.

I have mixed opinions on the AUG. It's a very nice gun. It takes down in seconds and packs down easily into a suitcase for easy transportation without people getting suspicious about what that bozo's doing with the rifle case.

It also features the dependable V3 mechbox, however mine (one of the first two CA's) were nearly impossible to get in and out of the body casing. I know TM's can just drop out once you remove the plate in the back, but mine and my friends were painful to get out to do repairs.

Another thing is if you have shorter arms (in my case), you may find it's a bit too 'long'. The big body and the elongated trigger guard meant that when I was firing it, I wasn't gripping the actual foregrip, but the trigger guard.

Another thing is if you like your hearing, the AUG is one of the more loud guns (especially the CA). It can be fixed, but right off the hop because your ear is right next to the motor, when you rattle away a whole mag, all I could hear was the whine of my gun.

And then there are some trifling issues; I personally blame it on being a first-run AUG, but there were issues with compression sealing and the stock CA hopup is almost total garbage (to the point where my stock TM P226 was outshooting it by far).

But on the positive; it's got a nice 509mm barrel, has some decent aesthetic upgrades, and if you shorty the gun, it makes it into an awesome CQB gun.

Just my opinion on the matter.
