There is a guarder one at AirsoftParts.ca. HERE: http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...roducts_id=450
With a Large Tamiya connector by the looks of it. EDIT - NM, could be a mini. Email the store's general inbox and ask. |

Give this a quick look over before you go start spending money and tearing your mechbox open:
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=64672 EDIT: Don't think it's been mentioned yet but test your motor outside the pistol grip and check the 'finger' contacts as mentioned in the link. Good luck.

You'll want to try bypassing stuff to see if you can get those gears moving.
If the AEG shoots than your problem is right there. If not remember that closing and opening a version 2 box a lot will wear the pignon holes of the gears and cause a disalignement of the gears on the piston and eventually make the piston turn on it's side inside the gearbox. ( yup happened to me and a buddy of mine so we both bought new gearboxes ) In a way you are lucky in your badluck because now is the best time to upgrade your system at the same time without the worry of screwing up something because it's already screwed up :P |

no, a power saw, why?
OH and i had another question before i order the part, i needed to know: i got's my trusty volt-o-meter now should there be a connection when i touch the motor side and the battery side? if not, would pulling the trigger, then touching it do it?

Probably a fabrication defect of some sort, but you're not the first ones to wonder the what and howcome because I fiddled with it for 1 month before a tech told me to check for that however unprobable you may think it is and it turned out to be true. I asked 3 of the top techs around these parts and only one told me of this possibility so I guess it must be a rare case senario but I've been told that versions 2 can be a problem on a long term basis. Both of em work fine since we changed the gearboxes, he put in a new pre assembled systema gearbox ( with he had to reopen because of lousy assembly ) and I put in a new guarder gearbox that I assembled from scratch with no problems. I never got problems opening my versions 3 on G36 and AK of my gbb's and bolt actions so I'm not a total ass at what I'm doing |

i think maybe you should test your motor before buying a wire assembly. Ill explain, i recently purchased a used ca m15 and i had the exact same issue. i have 2 armalites, so i swapped motors, i put the CA motor into my JG, and the JG motor into my CA.. the JG stopped working, and the CA was back to life. The wierd thing is, is that the CA motor would spin out of the hand grip, (with decent torque) but not when it was secured in the hand grip.

He already tested that theory ''the motor works fine, spins nicly as a stock CA motor should'' . On the easy mistakes side, did you check if it was the motor that was too high up in the grip with the tighing nut in the bottom?
That will make your gears feel like they dont want to move and choke your motor. If you hold it like that for a while the fuse before your battery should burn. |

yah, mine spun nicely untill it was intalled into the hand grip. after that it didnt spin at all, due to lack of torque...i stopped the motor with my fingers buddy, so figure that out! besides i could tell by the magnetic pull, the motor couldnt even pick up a small screw from the handgrip.
but ah yahhh duhhhh im kinda stoopit in all do. |

ok!
so i spent the 20 bux and the 50 bux on shipping got the swich set installed with shockingly no problem at all, except for like one thing, (a post on my spring guide broke, but superglue later and it is fine for now, getting a new one anyways to replace) so installed, ready to rock fired once, yeah! cycled better than before. tried again no more cycles i opeaned up the gearbox again seems that the swich had slipped from the trigger so i put it back repeated repeated repeated so, now as you can see a trend is forming now im wondering how do i fix this? did i spend that cash for nothing?
