sorry its late and i cant sleep. i admit i jumped the gun abit. but seriously if you want a headset there are easier ways of getting ones then that. you dont need hearing protection for airsoft, if you cant hear then how you gunna know where the shots are coming from

Would it be possible to build? Of course. Practical? No.
The problem with using hearing protection is you won't be able to hear anything that's happeneing around you. Unless you want a headset for radio comms when you're in a loud environment and the radio comms are the priority, then it will be as useless as tits on a nun. It's not a good idea. The best route is just to get a proper headset.

If you're looking for an integrated headset that provides hearing protection as well as communications, buy one that is purpose built such as the Peltor Comtacts, Swattacs, or TCI Liberator set.
