When you do get the slide can you update us as to whether it can take a barrel bushing?

Will do, but the slide I'm getting is for a 4.3 and is just a replacement for the stock "OPS-MRP" markings. I once had a Shooter's Design model of a slide with those markings and it did not have the barrel bushing channel.

according to someone on Arnies, the AS slide(for 5.1 at least) has bushing cutout in it(the one the poster had was a Kimber 2 tone model). I replied to him about whether he can tell if its for SD type bushing or stock 1911....

Alright, the poster on Arnies measured the location of the bushing(~5mm in from the front), which is different from SD's, but its about 10 thou(of an inch) off from what I measured the TM 1911's to be. Consider the small variance in measurement from 2 people I am guessing it uses the TM 1911's dimension. Which means PDI's bushing, TM 1911's stock bushing, or possibly Nova's bushing will fit these AS slide to build 1911-style barrel setup...

dude, sorry to ruin your hopes but i don't think hes going to ship anything to the philippines. Hes in hong kong for a bit and coming back with the stuff to canada, thats why hes doing this pre-order for us, although it never hurts to ask.
