Dude, seing your pictures made me want to bust out my camera and take a few of my Shorty Aug. Shorty Augs are REALLY sweet, nice compact feel, but still reliable range and accuracy.

Here's my contribution:

thanks for inspiring me!

I don't know really.
the original carbin-length barrel is just cosmetic, the inner barrel ends just after the gas recuperation chamber.
I believe Mason's with just a receiver is the shortest commercial version.

hey Mason, is it 14+ or 14- on yours ?
did you modify the rail to mount the RDS ?
I like it a lot with the silencer

You see them often on Militaryphotos, I like the camo too

however, I'd go for some other looks for myself...

Nice stubby augs. Im thinking about doing it on one of augs soon.

What size inner barrel do you use?

Inner barrel on the Shorty Augs is an M4 legth. 363 I believe, I can check if you want. The threading on my adaptor was +....hence the birdcage hider. Note the crapy iron sights are still on.

Hey Jimski

Yeah I have a -14 Thread, but no i did not modify my rail, it fits my aimpoint quite nicely. I Like silencers so i tend to put them on most of my guns, on the AUG it really brings down the noise.

Great pictures Jimski and a beautiful Aug. Like many I disliked the Aug when I first saw it, but for whatever reason I bought one and its my favourite AEG out of the six I have. I did internal upgrades on mine 509mm 6.03 tight bore barrel, G&P metal hop unit, System hop rubber and Marui EG1000 motor and better quality battery though standard size and it rocks, next addition is the Phantom kit. Augs are the best

Er... I'm gonna sound like a 'tard, but I can't seem to be able to swap the barrel part itself. I don't know how to take it off. Someone mind filling me in on this? Searching didn't bring anything up.

Doesn't appear to be screwed in at all, seems to be held by a little shaky metal tab. It wobbles when I pull the tab out, and is firm when I push it back in- but pulling, even with pliers, doesn't get it out enough far enough to remove completely.
