UPS must die.
There's a reason they're cheap, and it all comes down to getting what you pay for. I won't get into too many details. The bottom line that sealed thier fate for me is getting a bill for brokerage fees after missing two days of work to be present to pay the driver those fees. So not only did they fail to deliver twice when they said they would, they also attempted to double bill me for the privilege. I now ask all sellers if other shipping is available and happilly pay the extra cost for service that doesn't suck farts from a dead goat. Too bad the rest aren't much better. At least Canada Post sucks 'em from a live goat. P-ha!

Have them deliver it to your work place. That's what I do. But then again, I work from home. :P
Anyways, I've always had the same delivery guy, and he always comes by around the same time so he's pretty predictable. To the point where him and i have built a rapport. I've dealt almost exclusively with UPS on a bi-monthly basis for overseas shipments for the past 6 years and haven't had a problem with them. As long as you know the service you're buying in to and what to expect, it's not an issue. Then again, whenever I use UPS, the only service of theirs I use is one of their Worldwide Express/Expedited services. Super fast, tracked well and all brokerage fees are INCLUDED in the original shipping cost. The only thing extra are GST and PST (if applicable).

That is not true. I've paid 5 dollar handling fee plus 7 cents GST on Collectible cards that I have received in the mail. If a customs agent deems an item to not be a gift then you are up creek.
