has anyone had any experience with these i know one guy did and he seemed pretty happy with them but I've never seen something like this before so i would like to know a little more about them.
I have these in my TM-based C8 and they work great. They're easy to install in the sense they they're perfectly shimmed out of the package, so there are no issues with improper shiming. They run very quiet too compared to other AEGs I've heard. They're also reinforced steel, so they should be pretty durable.

I can't speak for their durability though, since I only fired off a couple of hundred rounds before cracking my meckbox shell and haven't replaced it yet.

It was your comment about them that turned me onto them in the first place
I was going to order a set but then i was told that they don't fit reinforced mech boxes.

If anybody know if that set would fit a 7mm G&P mech box it would help allot.

They have a 7mm set, but not sure if it would fit that mechbox or not. It says it's compatible with King Arms, VFC, ICS gearboxes, but not compatible with Systema, Deep Fire, CA, & Guarder gearboxes. They don't state G&P specifically.

I can confirm that they do NOT fit the G&P 7mm mechboxes unfortunately.

Oh, I've seen enough people out there who can't fit in gear/piston assambly even after 5 attempts.

- The gear teeth were folding over which means they probably weren't 'biting' enough of each other which points to mechbox being misaligned.
May also be a problem of faulty bearings or faulty piston (make sure you have the V2 version of deep fire piston)

- The titianium piston wore down the sector gear very fast (improper meshing) is another suspect of misaligned mechbox.
I suspect improper installation here. On installation, one should check sector gear to piston meshing. Sometimes you need to file down the second piston tooth.

How differently? I am currently waiting for my helicals in the mail, it would great to know how they are shimmed differently before I throw them into my mechbox. Thanks.

Just make sure the gears don't rub together, but they're as close to eachother as you can get them.

When you shim are you holding the gearbox closed or screwing it down closed with 2-3 screws to check if the spacing is correct? I had the problem of breaking gears because when i shimmed, because it'd spin freely when i was holding it closed but it'd lock up when i screwed the mechbox together..
And he just means that for shimming that u have about a 0.2mm space between the gears

if you got a Angle Silent piston head in there, then you have found your problem.
due to its design, the piston head makes the piston sit further back in the cylender by 3-4mm, this causes the teeth to misalign, and with titianium teeth on the piston, the sector gear will get chewed up.
to use that piston head you will need to modify the piston teeth(remove the first two teeth after the first thick tooth) so that the sector gear teeth can engage the piston correctly.

remove the grey teeth that are shown on the model.

if this is the piston head you got installed, then yes you will need to remove teeth from your piston.
