Perhaps we should know the temperature of the gun and the ambient temperature at the time that gun was shot before we jump to conclusions.
A mech box that is shot in sub zero temperatures can break. Especially on full auto. |

And being a V2 at that high of a velocity (400 FPS-ish), breaking would be more likely to occur.

Just an addition to my review...
I had the gun out at my friend's place in the country today and we were test firing it. I'm most impressed with the accuracy of this thing. With the iron sights, I had no problems hitting an aluminum pie plate tacked to a 2 x 4 that was about 100 feet away. Once I got the hopup set, it was as accurate as could be expected. I've really developed a real appreciation for this gun. I never expected it to be that accurate at that kind of range.

I got my chrony today and ran this gun through it. 10 shots were all between 347 and 360 fps, with the average of the 10 being 351.6. It turns out it does't shoot as hot as I thought it did, but still very respectably. Rate of fire with an 8.4V 1100 mAh battery was 12.9 bb/s. I'm most impressed with this gun.

im thinking of getting this gun, trying to deside if i want the J or the A4 i like the look of the full stock but i the collapsable stock would be more usefull for cqb... kinda torn lol

Well, you can always buy a full stock for it if you can't get the A4 model. That's what I plan on doing to mine. It has the added advantage of being able to store a large battery in the stock, as opposed to a mini battery in the front grip. And if I want to use the gun for CQB, it's literally a 5 minute (or less) job to switch back to the sliding stock and front wiring.
Either way, this is a very worthy gun for the price, I think. I'm quite happy with mine. It's a most impressive gun for the price. I'll probably upgrade the bushings eventually, and possibly eventually add a tightbore barrel. But otherwise, I plan on leaving it as-is. Thought I'd post of pic of it with its new friend the supressor...

I'm hearing a lot of incosistent info re: the velocity on this thing. Some people are saying 400fps, some are saying 350 or whatnot. Can anyone help a bruddah out?

Not sure what brand the supressor is. I got it used in the classifieds. It's got HK trades. That's about all I can tell you. Trades were just engraved when I got it. I filled them in with white crayon.
Over an average of 10 shots, my gun chronied at 351.6. Box advertises 330. It shoots hotter than advertised, but not by a whole lot. My JG HK416 is listed as 370 fps, but shoots an average of 425 over 5 shots, with a high mark of 465.5 on one of the shots (could have been a freak reading or chrony error?). Yes, JG do shoot hot. Their metal body MP5s apparently shoot pretty consistently over 400 as well.

After reading this I must say I'm tempted to get one of these. It does look hot with the silencer.

Well, it doesn't seem to be a good representation of the JG, even though they're supposed to be the same. My stock has more than 1 extended position. My selector works great too. Also, velocity is higher on the JG.
Now, it's said that Echo 1 are JG with better shimming and better assembled gearboxes, but there seems to be some differences in this case.
