I have a CA36E. Other than some minor electrical issues (ones that are not unique the the CA36), no issues. I've put 20,000+ rounds through it so far, and only now am I starting to notice a bit of wear on the piston. I like the finish and feel better than the TM G36 as well.

Star is pretty high end. Definitely the best. Out of CA and TM, CA has noticeably superior exterior quality then TM, but shittier internals. If you happen to upgrade the internals, then CA would be the best bet.

Damn this thread with it's no conclusive answers! Anyway, I was thinking of buying a CA36 along with a CA ag36... but now I'm not too sure.
I'm buying a Modify FTK in a couple of weeks, so internals aren't a valid point; I'm just looking for the best externals and the best ag36. I've heard that the Star has the best externals, but the mags tend to jam; it also has the best optics, IMO. The thing is, how is the quality of the star ag36?

If you're replacing the internals anyway that gets rid of every bad point for the CA36 IMO. Obviously the star will be better, but it's also much more expensive.

What are the approximate costs of a Star g36 and a CA36? Though money isn't a real concern unless it's incredibly ridiculous; also, who makes a better ag36? Star or Classic Army? I hope my account gets verified tomorrow.

TM is TM. But if you are on a budget, go for JG. A very wicked Marui clone. My friend owned the Japanese version and i owned the ACM one, very few differences. And besides, we do upgrade our guns internally so internal wise, our guns are almost the same. But then again, a TM is a TM.
BTW, I dont know why but G36c's are so darn accurate. Given its 247mm barrel, it shoots very straight with good groupings, even @ stock bore barrel. Its a very solid gun if I may say so.

I own a CA36c and I've seen a TM and quite frankly I was dissapointed with the finish on the TM. Compared to a CA it really looked like a toy. However the CA has a bad habbit of burning the trigger contacts out. I fixed the contacts (scraped the carbon off) and then installed a mosfet and it has been working fantastic for months. The CA has CA markings, where as the TM and Star have real steel markings and the JG has none. I personally would go for the JG or the Star but my budget said CA and I really wanted the Glass fiber instead of the ABS.

Why is this even still here in the review section? I think it should be moved to the airsoft guns discussion....

JG G36C after fixing up parts in the mechbox. I don't think I'll be able to wear it out.

TM one looks like a toy. It just looks really "plasticy" (ie. its just another hunk of ABS, fibre glass or whatever) and cheasy and it shines like a dollar store cap gun. Least that's how I saw it with my old one. They also aren't invincibe internal wise....like TM's are oh so commonly boasted to be.
Now the CA G36C I had, that was a thing of beauty. It was solid and had an awesome texture. The mechbox was just fine and I never had any trouble with it. The wiring was also good. Plus you get all three rails with it....they don't fuck you with cheapness like TM. I can't speak for clones but I imagine they are no better than TM so....I have my winner. Err, this may sound very odd, but I was on Redwolf and they say that the STAR G36 has a V2 mechbox... Either that's right and I'm crazy or Redwolf made a typo.

TM is TM imo. Don't get me wrong guys, I own 2 CA's and i love the finish of CA but TM really is TM. and its way lighter which would give leverage on the field for quicker movements. my friend accidentally dropped his tm g36c, tip of barrel first and it still shoots flawlessly. that proved that TM's are really durable and made me change my view of Marui's. I'm actually getting a TM AK47 this coming weekend.
