Actually if your gun is a KSC Hardkick or a WA Magna system it isn't very good to dry fire at all especially if you haven't upgraded to a metal slide

In both of these versions the pistol actually "detects" if there is a bb chambered and will only blast gas down the barrel if the bb is chambered. KSC's Hardkick version it's the nozzle that detects the bb (I don't remember what corresponding part WA's is)

If the bb is not chambered the entire volume of the gas that is released goes right to the blowback chamber and potentially wears out the abs slide and blowback parts.
