In short
-the guy is in the process of being age verified -he spells like shit -he knows it -he don't care -he want to make sure no one that could someway see his rifle and ask to hold it try to fire it. I see nothing wrong with that. I would do the same thing. Except that my rifle is only shown-off in pictures I took. Always locked away. Now Grey... I am sure it happened to you to have one of your rifle in hand when a friend dropped home without warning. And I am sure that you would let him handle your rifle for a few seconds. (Be it RS or AS) That guy can't be blamed for taking one extra safety and only load a mag that can't be loaded?!?!? @jesster202: even if you spell like shit, punctuation can be very helpfull to understand your posts... no offence |

Why not just store it without a battery? That is the E in AEG right?

The spelling part: This is a written forum. I realize some folks here have valid problems like dyslexia. If that is the case, you can use other word processing programs, write up your posts, and then copy/paste them. Typos happen. If you do that, it will reduce the huge misunderstandings created by your very unclear posts. Think about it from the point of view of others: We dont read minds. We dont know how you dealt with Ken. You are very difficult to understand. We dont know you. Because your posts are unclear, they force others like me to wonder what the hell you mean. Your posts make you appear like you are 12 years old, and age does matter here because of the laws/rules involved. Your solution: be very clear about what you write, even if it takes extra time. This is not a race. Then you will see changes in the way people, me included, talk to you. Fair enough? Last edited by Greylocks; January 3rd, 2008 at 19:07.. |

There's no way that kid is over 14. If he is, he must be ESL with ADHD.

Damn the guy didn't want to buy a freaky gun! He wanted to know how to get or make a MAGASINE that WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO USE! What is fucking wrong with it! I don't give a shit how he types. Hell my mother types like shit and takes forever to write a freakin' e-mail. Some times I have to read it 2-3 times to get it! She is not a morron because of it! Working as manager in a shop! This is a fucking FORUM! How can you juge ppl only on the WAY they TRY to say something! I am making my mind on ppl because of the way they ACT, not the amount of spelling mistakes they do! @Greylock: HE FUCKING BOUGHT HIS GUN FROM KEN @ 007! I am not sure, but last time I ordered from him I had to give him my ASC verified account name, and he would send me a PM to confirm. If he is not verified and STILL managed to buy from him, he MUST have some way to prove he is not a 14yo brat wanting a "OMFG L@@K @MY KIKASSSS GUNZZZZ!!". Damn why the only thing I keep earing from you is some fucking rant! I did not really liked you before, but I think I really start to hate you, even if you never did anything agains me directly. You know, this place was more fun to read when you where "on forced vacation". I don't know if you just copy and paste your "-Use the search button -Get verifed blah blah blah *rant*" shit just to get higher post count, but if you fucking know the answer to the question asked, can't you simply say it? If you don't know but have an opinion, go ahead and post it too. But cut the crap about searching more all the fucking time! Sounds like you don't know jack, but just want to look like you do. I get past a lot of post that I could just say "Oh, just google it!" I don't because even a 8yo know how to fucking google it! Sometimes you just don't know how to say it, sometimes you do, but didn't find what you where looking for. If I ask you to google on "How to make an active braking, dual channel H-bridge without a FET driver AND using only a pot as a speed control/direction controler" it will take you a good 3-4 days of intense googling just to find out what I ask you. If you know, say it, if you don't, keep it shut! No I dare any admin to delete my post just because I say what I have in my mind. I am not insulting anyone, I am just fucking tired of ranting and flaming. Ok some underage kids pop here from time to time. Damn just ignore it! If no one reply to their "ME waNTZ a 1337 GunZZ to play /W My firends LOL" posts, and they just eventually get deleted by the mods, there won't be any ranting for useless shit anymore. Damn I bet half the bandwidth of ASC is just some stupid useless comments... LAST THING, If you have something to say to me, THERE IS PM. Stop hijacking treads! /rant Now, back on topic. When you get age verified, (should be soon if you already are working on it) there is some broken/missfeeding AEG mags poping in the classified from time to time. The be the best way to get a cheap mag to glue and lock it. |

If you want to display it have it locked in see thru cabinet or any type of displayer. As it is lock it will be fine. Second, do not load magazine in the gun while in a display case. Regardless if its not loadable, not real, etc... It can and will be consider a magazine and be treated as LOADED. So keep magazine separated from the firearm Just use any M16 magazine for airsoft use only, less trouble and less problems. Beside, AEG only works if you had battery charged and attached to the gun already. If you some how obtain a real M16 magazine just remove the spring inside the magazine that someone had already suggested. You might be in trouble even though it isn't illegal to obtain magazine but still some people will consider a very big no no... |

If you are over 18, and you really want an M16 magazine, order from www.marstar.ca
They have pretty much any spare part you'd love. Be sure of one thing, they play in a different league. Kos-Mos, I care about airsoft and how frigging fragile the acceptance of it is. I'll care on the side of extreme caution, wether you or anyone else likes it or not. Since you obviously have a right to rant, then I also have the right to an opinion. That opinion does change if/when I get proven wrong (hence one of my last posts about this issue). If you are over 18, and have issue with typing, ok. It happens. Problem is... how can we know? If you have writing issues, or language barriers, just say so. But be sure to make an effort since nobody will know. If you think I'm really that unhelpful and nasty, you've obviously never met me. Ask the guys (old timers now) who I even loaned my own guns to while I fixed theirs at games. Want to ask an intelligent question? Go right ahead. If I know the answer I'll give it or point you in the right direction instead ot typing it again. I'm very sorry that most of what I could say is already in the darned FAQ that nobody reads. But I wont copy THAT (meaning entire FAQ parts) all over again for anyone. If you can type, you can read. If it's not in the FAQ, cool. If you missed it, cool. But at least SAY you missed it. Tell us, all of us, where you looked, how you looked, keywords, all that wonderful internet and forum search stuff. If you bought something legally from a Retailer, let us know, it helps. Do something like this: "Hi, I bought this gun from Ken at 007. I read a fair amount about it, I want to do X to it. What do you suggest?" Or "Hi, I really like my new gun, and I want to show it off in a safe environment: what is the best way to do this without getting the SWAT team on my ass? Are there rules/laws/limitations I should consider?" How much do you want to bet that those questions will elicit far different answers than what he got so far? Even from nasty old me? I know that everyone has the RIGHT to rant/post his opinion. It is just that it gets very heavy to read. But just like most people, you also skip part of the posts. He never said (well... I didn't interpreted it that way) that he wanted to run the streets with his gun, nor that he wanted to have it hanged on the wall. He simply asked where to get a dummy mag or how to make one. So far, there is only 3 ppl that answered his question first time without any flame. You also gave your input. I am sure that he apreciate it. It simply would be nicier to give it first shot... no need to rant before. Last edited by Kos-Mos; January 3rd, 2008 at 21:01.. |

I react to what I read. I interpret according to what I read just like you do. We interpret differently.
That is why, sadly, in a written forum, it is very important to be clear or make a huge effort. Trick: Pretend that nobody knows nothing about you, what you've done, what you tried. Since it's probably the truth for starters, it will make a huge difference in how you write up your questions. What came to my mind? Why would an unverified person whom I think (like others) is underaged want a real assault rifle magazine? Why not use an empty airsoft mag, and no battery or ammo? Is that not far simpler since it requires no other purchase? That's what I got from all this as it was written. So being human, that's how I reacted. |

The main fact is right here.
Every body EXCEPT him said that he wanted a RS mag. He asked for a dummy mag, be it AS or RS, to me a dummy mag is a not functional mag than CAN'T be used. So a KA metal low with a drop of epoxy is a dummy. |
