Go with the KJW, it'll be more reliable and sturdy.

Dark Hawks are fantastic, good reviews all around, and as HFC is rebuilding their parts factory, theres no real downside to buying a darkhawk, things HEAVY too

I'd say darkhawk. Longest range on a GBB I've seen.. gets about the same range of a TM MK23 Socom NBB

Well I have to say I like the look of the S&W Sigma .40 and the internal hammer look of the Glock series of pistols and that makes the Darkhawk stand out to me and its custom right out of the box and that is nice too.

However I am leaning towards the Vertac as I'm learning it is a combo of power, range, acurracy, durabillaty, good looks, crisp blow back, ect, ect.....
as you can see it seems that the Vertec is a well rounded pistol.

I am still thinking but now I think Its between the Vertec and the Darkhawk

No point to start a new thread so here goes.
So it has come and now I want a slide with trades that will fit with little to no modification anyone know of such a beast for the KJ Works M9 Vertec?

This is true.

"Hicapas" are based on 2011, double stack IPSC style pisols, and TM1911s are based on the "A1" GI pistol.

Personally, I'd go for the "HiCapa". Mainly because it's already 1/2 FMU, and gas efficiency.

I upgraded my KJ M9 with the 150% recoil spring, and quite honestly, I can't tell much difference in it other than the slide returns forward a little faster because the spring is stiffer. And I installed the KJW's old spring into my WA 92FS since it was a lot stiffer and will help keep my WA safe to use with my propane / HFC134A combination.

I also have the 190% hammer spring, but I'm not sure I want to chance taking the whole gun apart to install it. The gun works perfectly as it is, and I'm always reluctant to screw around with stuff when it works well.

As for the whole spring set, that's pretty much useless unless you lose or break an existing spring. I had to get that because I lost my trigger bar spring. They're identical to the ones already in the gun and won't change it in any way. However, KJW M9 series guns have been know to break trigger springs, so if that happens, you'll have a spare handy. But I've fired 1500+ shots out of my KJW M9 and haven't had any issues with it to date. My springs are all intact.

But you should be very happy with the KJW in its stock form. It's beefy, accurate, has great range, and feels great to shoot all around. With a little cleaning and lubrication, it will serve you reliably for a long time. Cosmetically and in terms of realism (full trades, working de-cocker), my WA 92FS is tops in my collection, but for overall use including power, accuracy, range, reliability, durability, etc, my KJW M9 rules all my pistol collection.

As for upgrade parts, KJW are not very good. Other than springs and a few internals, you'll have a very hard time finding upgrade parts that will fit it. That's probably the only weak point I can find with KJW.

The recoil spring is mostly for a faster cycle and less stress on the slide from the blowback if its harder to slide back it will not hit the rear so hard and the outher springs are for back ups as I heard about the triger spring issue now all I need is a slide.
Are the TM slides compatible?

Well, the spring certainly does help the gun cycle faster. No doubt about that. I've heard people say that it gives a stronger kick and such. Can't say I've noticed that at all. And yeah, it's probably good to have those extra spare springs. Considering they cost next to nothing, it's better to have something you don't (but might) need than to need something you don't have. And by the guns reputation, you possibly may need the trigger spring.

Don't know about the slides, but I know that TM mags don't work in KJW guns. I would assume that the slides don't either. I wish there were afteramarket slides with full trades for KJW. I'd love to have trades on mine. Cosmetically speaking, that's the only thing this gun lacks IMO. I'm not disappointed as the gun is stellar in all other respects though.

And one VERY worthy upgrade that's also dirt cheap - get some Hogue wraparound rubber grips. They're for the real steel, but fit the airsoft guns quite nicely too. They usually sell for about $15 on ebay, and SO worth it. They look great, ad make the gun a lot more comfortable to hold and shoot.

On order already.
Good call.

Anyone know of a slide that will fit?
