The battery has zero effect on range or fps. The motor has no effect either. Literally, you have to look in the straight line, from rear to front, spring guide, spring, piston/head, cylinder, cylinder head, nozzle, hop up unit, hop up rubber, barrel (clean?).

I'm thinking of tempting faith and opening the mechbox and checking the inside. But theirs something i notice. THe hop up unit isn't attached, the barrel goes in it and then the whole thing just 'plugs' into the front of the mechbox where the nozzle is. Seem's pressure from the being pushed foward (when i attach everything) is the only thing that keeps it togethere. Is that normal? |

I fail at trying to fix my own gun. I can't get the bloody mechbox out of the lower receiver... those 'pins' are impossible to remove wtf...

The one that attaches the mechbox to the SR-25 lower receiver.

If u cant tap it out one way using a screw driver, try tapping it out the other way

I looked at that vid... my mechbox looks different. It's longer, and seems to use different screws at different places.

Shouldnt it be a Version 2 gearbox? they should all look the same. did u remove the grip/mag release/stock before trying to take out the center body pin?

Gonna try that. I just did a test to see how much pressure was comming out the nozzle. Not nearly enough... theirs DEFF something fucked up inside the mechbox. Big air leak i'm guessing.

check your nozzle oring/piston oring/cylinder head oring...
Those are usually the 3 main causes. or just put a bit of silicone on them |

Blah this freaking thing won't budge... i'm gonna get a Gun Doc to check it out. I have limited tools here and time. How can i find a Gun Doc for montreal (i live near Ecole Polytechnique at the Rockhill's Apt).

once u remove the grip/mag release/stock
Take a small screw driver and something bigger, and try tapping it out, it takes quite a bit of force, if it doesnt budge try it from the other side Theres a link above this one that shows u your nearest gun doc.. I'd take a look at it for you but im in calgary haha |

Update: I had my gun fix today. The piston head was the problem (i was amaze how the O-ring was to small for the cylinder...). Laylax piston head bought and installed, shoots great
350fps, so even tho its a late version #270, it does not shoot 420fps. |

Ah... that's what I'd proposed as a solution in one of your other threads.
I noticed the same thing on a CA25 I'm working on right now as well. The velocity and range improved even further with a better air seal through the replacement of cylinder head and air nozzle. I noticed the stock cylinder head to air nozzle connection had a high air loss as well. I guess this is starting to become a more prominent issue with these guns... |
