How will a plastic mechbox hold up in the winter?

Yeah, and an FN SCAR, and a metal-slide USP AEP.

Damn, they've beaten Japan/Taiwan- they have a prototype FN2000 a week before G&G announces they're even going to make one, to be released in 2 years.

I'll have to side with Grelocks' on the plastic mech box being of questionable integrity. Though there exist several types of plastic polymers that are stronger than metal, those shown on this thread appear to be of typical hardened clear plastics (which I would not trust using in the winter; even stock).

They may work great if you live in parts of the US where snow is a rarity. There are times when geography matters.

He says he has metal gearboxes, though.

If you don't take them out in crappy winter weather it hardly matters. I don't personally own a China-made gun but I don't play winter games...not outdoors anyway. I only bring my guns out during the warmer seasons.

They probably look exactly like Marui guns...

I'd go to Arnies for info on Chinese airsoft guns. They're a lot more in tune with that stuff than we are.

For $100, I wouldn't expect much from it. As much as it's a clone of the TM, it doesn't mean it works like the TM.

And I doubt any retailers deals with importing these guns. But if they do, I wouldn't mind getting the L96 as a display piece.
