Hummm not really, it you get Gr25, its a regular mech 2 gearbox except for nozzel and cilender head and hop up (depend how the body is made), or you can buy the G&P sr-25 metal body with comes with piston heat and long nozzel and uses a regular hop up.

if you look at the shell though it is longer, i think the middle pin is in a slightly different location and you would need an extra long stock bolt to reach to the version 2.
they are longer so you can put more fps through them

Hummm yes really.

The G&P SR-25 is a modified v2 gearbox. It's longer, it has a longer piston, and it requires a unique sector gear with extra teeth to accomodate the longer piston, among several other unique gearbox parts.

As you indicated, the nozzle, cylinder head and hop up is different.

It's all longer because of the longer magwell (7.62 cal rounds are longer).

Just like wey ferro posted
http://www.uncompany.com/pageproduct...sp?prodid=5336

Name: G&P SR25 Long Gearbox Set
Description:
G&P SR25 Long Gearbox Set
Package includes (SR-25 long Gear box, Long Cylinder, Selecter Plate, Cylinder Head, Piston Head, Long Pistol, 7mm Bearing, Sector Gear, Metal Nozzle, Tappet Plate)

However, you are right in that the G&G GR25 uses a standard v2 mech box with an extra long nozzle.

The G&P SR-25 can use a regular version 2 mechbox or the extended version 2 mechbox. I have a regular version 2 in my G&P.

Looks like G&G uses the same setup as the G&P. Extended nozzle and long adapter for the stock screw. The nozzle fits on a regular cylinder head.

yeah but on my gr25, it uses a long cylinder hear and a long nozzle, that interresting, I was prefering the Gr25 cause of the upgrade potential but now that I know about G&P makes me wanna both! You really gotta bring this baby to the next game we'll play together so we can trully compare the set up. and illusion, on the Gr25 for G&G yes the hop up chamber is longer but uses regular hop up sleeve. I,ll post a pic in 5 min hold on....

Regular hopup unit. An extended nozzle with a spacer between the mechbox and hopup. Remember, G&P came out with their SR-25 conversion kit before they released their extended version 2 mechbox. Kind of useless if you buy a kit that couldn't fit any mechbox.

Seehow the nozzle and hop up chamber are longer? For reference, the nozzle is about 1 and half and the chamber is about 2 inch and half.

That would suck big time if you break either part.

At lease on the G&P, the extended nozzle is made of metal and everything else is standard version 2.
