Because that's what's printed on some of the real plates. Just because they'll stop a bullet doesn't mean you should throw them around. They are a ceramic composite and outside the vest, they have little protection from elements.

Seramic SAPI plate will break appart if droped on the ground. They are brittle. But resist very well to high velocity impacts, like a 5x56 bullet, even 7x62 in some cases.

Kudos fox, thats an excellent looking vest. The fact that it has two different colors is good, means people dont need to have two vests if they have two different types of camo, like u ave cadpat and block.


I am curious, approximately how long did this project take you?
