In what way are they connected to a retailer? Is it more than just being someone who bought from them lately?

the US certainly has it's problems but it's looking more appealing every day (which isn't saying much)

Possible, but unlikely because you couldn't just raid every customers that just bought it this year or the year before that or whatever years.. I mean aiming at the retailers sounds more reasonable, but aiming at buyers is just not possible at all.. This is very strange indeed.

As I said in the other thread... the political weight of these seizures would be enormous to both Harper, and the police as a whole. Therefore, a media release would be in thier interest. I agree that these are likely either isolated incidents, or small ripples from the actual raids. However, the lack of proper fact from those involved can be construed as worrisome, and at the same time, lack of said information could mean nothing major. Look at deals that go "sour" within the classifieds. Everyone is quick to jump on the bandwagon and say "he's been around a long time, but he's a bad guy cuz we haven't heard from him and hasn't closed the deal with ___"; only for all of us to later find out he had no access to a computer, or he had a tragic life changing event (and airsoft is only a hobby to most, and hobbys get forgotten in a crisis). The point is - let's wait for real word on what happened from a person involved, not a friend saying "___". (nothing personal to anyone, nor am I doubting anyones story here)

or how about people engage in voluntary trade of harmless articles used for entertainment purposes and the government stays the fuck out of it

Hmmm....this is a personal home, unless he's involved or committed a crime of some sort, I wonder how they got a court order to enter the permit and start taking away stuff.

I sort of understand why the BC stores got raided, but man, this is a home the CBSA (presumably) is intruding, and which I feel kind of step over the line. (If Shinjin's friend is just a collector/airsofter)

As Eric Cartman would say, "This is bullcrap!"

Hope your friend is alright, Shinjin_MC.

IF you are a big collector in BC, I'd suggest that you transport the stash somewhere safe and lay low for a while.

On the wild side, I'm not too sure if a national initiative of calling up your MP's and make them aware of what's going on is a good idea....Just a thought, doesn't really mean anything.

I doubt your MP or MPP would do much about it. Probably best to get some legal advice before doing anything remotely stupid. (Just referring to any action in general)

"lay low"....lol sounds like they should hide themselves in a safe house somewhere.

Actually never thought about this one. If it is CSBA doing the raid with the assistance of the RCMP then it should be for illegal activity of importation? If it was RCMP raid and not CSBA then it should be for criminial charges of possesion of replica firearms?

Strange that they'd take his computer as well. I would think it must be something to do with customs. If the RCMP came to seize firearm replicas then why would they have taken the computer as well? Unless maybe he's a member of that vampirefreaks site like that idiot in Montreal was or something?

I think I'll be taking my gun pics off my myspace profile just in case.
