If you have been here since Aug 2005, how come you dont know the answers to such basic questions yet?
Or are you someone else using that account? If you want to know about any gun, check the Reviews section. What I said about the longer barrel guns having more reach is true. Which model is entirely up to you. So now do your research about the models that interest you, make your pick, get age-verified, and buy it. It's all written down already. |

Let's just say, the longer the gun is, the more flex it'll have and more fragile it'll be. Add in the cost of finding metal body parts to get rid of the flex............ |

You have to know that being a sniper in airsoft is nowhere as cool as you might think it is. Your best bet would probably be the M14. Great range and has the full-auto. I fyou really want to buy a Bolt-action , I've heard good things about the CA M24 and TM VSR G-Spec but you'll have to upgrade both to make it really skirmishable. Or you can save a little more and buy yourself a good ol' Barrett M82 , no upgrades needed

The thing i love about my M14 is the (mostly) metal construction, cuts down on flex and has a good solid feel to it. Great range and very very accurate.
although my opinion is a little bias, mmmmm....m14 goodness.... |

You have to have boatloads of patience.
You have to develop the ability to read the layout of your field in order to position yourself in a place where you can observe areas onto which enemy units will have to move through to patrol or complete objectives. You must develop an understanding of how camoflage, cover and concealment work to be able to melt into the environment and remain undetected so as to report on enemy movement and initiate contact only in situations that are advantageous to your team. If that is something that can make up for the periods of inactivity for you during a game, then maybe sniping will be satisfying for you. :borg: |
