Line your ruck with a strong garbage bag, and put everything you value dry inside baggies within that garbage bag.
The bugs are gonna make you insane, so shelter (be it a bug shirt, net, or jungle hammock) will be a welcome relief when you do get some down-time. Your feet WILL get wet out there. There's no "might" about it, so bring foot powder and dry socks. Goretex socks would be a fantastic purchase, just make sure they go well above your boots. Use a 3-line system. Dump your 3rd line at your bivvy point. Sleep when you can. |

Just you know this is a MILSIM event and only last for 24 hr. I dont think you'll have time to setup your tent and your fancy mattress to sleep on. You prolly wont even have time to sleep. If i were playing a 24 hr game I will take advantage of night time to sneak on the other teams base and kill them all if i can.
Basically what you really need is extra BDU, socks, shirt, underwear, back up gun (shit happens), face towel, bug juice, toilet paper, food, something sweet to keep you moving, extra battery, BB's, lots of water or gatorade, paracord, electrical tape or duct tape, daypack, multi tools, and thats all i can think of right now. The big stuff you can just leave it at your base and just come back for it if you need them. Also if you said your confirmed you should discuss this with your Team mates at KS2. If you paid for the entrance fee you will have access to whatever team you want to join and im sure most of them been talking about this for a while now. See you there and im representing the Red Team. edit: The Ranch is totally dry right now and not a sign of water so lets hope it will stay like that till the game day. |

Overall, the only thing you have to consider is that you are likely in the middle of nowhere, with nothing. Plan accordingly. That advice applies anywhere, not just at games.
Note; bug repellent. Be aware that DEET has nasty effects on plastics and ABS, goggles, etc. It melts it to goo. |
