FUSE HELP!

I think Greylocks is feeding off my post where I stated I have walked into Canadian Tire and walked out within 5 mins with fuses in hand. Not hard to find at all, just takes some looking, maybe ask. Looking on the CT website for fuses is like looking for the non-existant needle in the CT haystack, waste of time and pointless.

Fuses they have are 1 1/4" long, up to 250V rating and AGC as MacGyver stated.

I say bullshit. He did not look anywhere except his screen hoping for spoonfeeding. Maybe he'd prefer home delivery?

I never found the fuse I was looking for. I blew a SEVERAL fuses last week. I went to HomeDepot, they didn't have anything. I went to Canadian Tire, they didn't have anything. I went to The Source, they had it, but I blew them all. The stock fuse that I had was 20A, 250V on my stock gun. The fuses I got from The Source were 20A, 32V. Blew all those too. Thinking I had a serious problem, I took apart my gun, checked everything. Everything seemed OK, I mean, the gun is less than a month old, and I've shot 1 full.

After being frustrated about my problem, I bought 20A, 32V fuse from RPElectronics, the same grade I got from THe Source, but a different company. This fuse didn't blow for some apparent reason, so I guess I just got a bunch of lemon fuses from THe Source.

I saw a package of four 20A 250V fuses at CT the other day, I think it was about $2.29. They also have 30A fuses. Not hard to find in automotive.

Still say something is wrong with your gun to blow 20A. 25A are out there, could try that. For airsoft, it doesn't matter if it's 32V or 250V rating, as long as your battery isn't over 32V you are fine with whatever fuse you get, as long as the amperage is over the run current.

Guess it's safe to say you have no clue if you bought regular, Fast-Blo (any spike over the rating will pop it, even start up spikes), or Slo-Blow (allows spikes over the rating, but blow when current draw remains over the rating) fuses? Chances are the ones that kept going on you are Fast Blo, then found either regular or Slo-Blo and they didn't pop on you.

Anyways, glad your gun is working, maybe my info there will help you in the future.

Well, I bought fast blows and slow blows. Didn't make a difference, it blew them all. Which is odd. Because now my gun doesn't blow up ANY fuses, which makes it even MORE odd.
