The fun thing about comparing different camos is that there are several different patterns for the same environment. For example, Woodland, British DPM, Flecktarn, Marpat, dark tigerstripe, and Cadpat are all basically woodland patterns. So you can basically do fair comparisons since they are all trying to be the best for the woodland environment. I guess different countries have different beliefs about camo. There are a lot of bright greens during the summer in the U.S., Britain, and Europe. But only CADPAT, Czech camo, and Danish (Flecktarn to a certain extent) take advantage of it. DPM, Marpat, Woodland seem to go for the fall/spring woodland effectiveness.

We still need someone to take all these uniforms and run through a bunch of different locations, at different times, in different weather. Then we can crown the SUPER CAM!
Knock yourself out!

Here's one you asked for:

Multicam doesn't work in the snow.

It might if you hide behind bushes and whatnot. Well, it might make you less readily noticeable, but not as hard-to-spot as in the previous pics.

Okay...so what we really need are guys to be assigned a camoflage that they own (between all of us, we got it all) and to go out and photograph themselves in the varying conditions. Bring it back and post, and voila we can compare.

Nice photos, but that's a Gebirgsjaeger Windjacke (in Waffen SS Eichenlaub Tarnmuster) - not a Fallschirmjaeger "Knochensack".

I think you might have been confused by the fact that some of the Fallschirmjaeger photographed at Monte Cassino were wearing grey-green Mountain Troops jackets that they'd picked up somewhere.

Some of them would be quite hard to see if their face was well camoufflaged ...

The top pic was taken about 20 minutes after the bottom one. The lighting was the same for both pics. The multicam did an awesome job in the dark shade (not too light after all) and did very well up close in the second pic. The hat is MARPAT, and the farther away you got from me, my buddy said the better it worked.

I will be out this sunday, and I hope to get some more pictures. There are still alot of brown golden and tan fields here bordered by lush green forest. I hope to get some good comparison pictures.
